Bobby Turner's Stable

Bobby Turner targeted another RB in this draft who he believes has the skillset to excel in his outside zone stretch play that hasn't been effective since the departure of  Mostert. He also moved on bringing in UDFA Cody Schrader and F/A Patrick Taylor. Assuming they carry 5 running backs including Juice, someone is getting squeezed. CMC/Mitchell/Mason/Schrader/Juice and Guerendo gets the red shirt by coming down with an injury designation. Thoughts?

Signed, Sealed, Delivered!

#49ers signed rookie WR Ricky Pearsall to his rookie deal. Their entire rookie class is now under contract.

The 49ers have signed first-round pick Ricky Pearsall to a four-year, fully-guaranteed contract worth $12.5 million as the No. 31 overall selection.

Holland's Heroes

Johnny Holland is searching for the next Al-Shaair with Dre Greenlaw likely unavailable until the playoffs. They signed DFF with guaranteed money which means he's making the team, predominantly as a special teams ace. I've seen enough of him at LB to hope another emerges that keeps him from ever seeing the field in that capacity. That brings us to last years draft where they double dipped at the position by taking Dee Winters and Jalen Graham. Winters getting all the love from Warner at his presser and Graham a McCloughan favorite. They also signed Devonte Campbell as a Free Agent. He's nothing special but he's got the veteran experience that Shanahan trusts. They kept 6 linebackers last year but I'm not convinced they do that this year with a player like Mustapha in the fold. For that reason I like them to go with 5 linebackers this year. Warner/Campbell/DFF/Winters/Graham. Who do you guys got?

Kocurek's Wrecking Crew

DL Coach Kris Kocurek has refurbished his DL room by removing Chase Young, Randy Gregory, Clelin Ferrell, Arik Armstead and Javon Kinlaw, and installing Leonard Floyd, Yetur Gross-Matos, Maliek Collins and Jordan Elliott. Bosa and Hargrave make 6. I think they kept 9 last year but I think they'll want to go back to 10. Robert Beal Jr., Drake Jackson and Kevin Givens makes 9. That leaves one spot open for perhaps that 1t double teaming run stuffer. Anderson vs. Brown vs. McGill vs. Davis. I'll go with Anderson as I suspect he has the best opportunity to make the team out of all the UDFA's. How do you guys see it?

CMC

"To be on the cover of Madden NFL is a career achievement and an honor I share with all of my teammates, coaches and 49er faithful who have helped make it possible," McCaffrey said in the official release. "I'm pumped to get back on the field this year to give Madden players more reasons to keep scoring touchdowns with me in 'Madden NFL 25.'"

Daniel Bullocks

Coach Bullocks has the best secondary the 49ers have had in the Shanahan era. They added a CB and a S from the draft and signed Yiadom and Ya-Sin through F/A. Hufanga is coming off a torn ACL suffered early last year. I expect them to keep the following 5 CB's: Ward, Yiadom, Lenoir, Green and Luter Jr. Ambry Thomas could be moved to the Commanders and Womack to the practice squad if he were to clear waivers.  Looks like the 4 S's are pretty much cut and dry: Hufanga, Brown, Odum, Mustapha. If Hufanga weren't able to be ready, depending on how the rookie looks, they could look to sign a S like Simmons through F/A or bring back Gibson. How do you guys see it?

Shhhh....

Reigning Offensive Player of the Year Christian McCaffrey once again has reset the RB market, signing a two-year extension with the 49ers, averaging $19 million per year, per sources. McCaffrey will receive an additional $8 million over what he was scheduled to make in the first two years while adding $24 million in guarantees. The deal was negotiated and confirmed by WME Football.

Logan Thomas

Logan Thomas ran 80% of his pass routes last season from the slot or lined up out wide, as opposed to 20% inline. For comparison, Kittle ran 61.7% of his routes lined up inline last year. Shanahan now has his receiving TE opposite Kittle. Solid signing by the 49ers!

Leonard Hankerson's WR Room

The 49ers double dipped at the position adding to their 3 returning starters. Both players are proficient route runners with speed, shiftiness, hands and body control. The real battle will be for that 6th wide receiver spot as I believe Deebo, Aiyuk, JJ, Pearsall and Cowing are all locks to make the team. That leaves Conley, Martin, Owens, Bell, Taylor and Gray all vying for one spot. My pick is Danny Gray even if all he does is show a modicum of improvement due to his speed. The rest should clear for the practice squad. Maybe you get a 7th from the Chargers for Bell. What do you guys think?

Gameday Week 10: Seahawks vs 49ers

Sounds as if Kittle is out for this game and Williams will likely play. Can Eric Saubert step up and fill some of that void? I think he ca...
