Ho-ho-ho! Awesome picture. Let's go!!!
ReplyDeleteMy Prediction for Day one. TJ Parker.
ReplyDeleteHe's the kind of edge they like in Round 1 and very likely still on the board.
DeletePer, 49ersWebzone,
ReplyDeleteMatt Miller,
Has the 49ers taking Toledo safety Emmanuel McNeil-Warren in the first round.
The truth will be revealed tonight.
Good player but he seems to replicate Mustapha. Does he say that we are planning to trade him?
DeleteNo, there's no mention of trading. Only that he sees's EMW making the kind of impact that the Seahawks Emmanwori has made.
ReplyDeleteChiefs DBs coach Dave Merritt, one of the best in the NFL, was arrested Wednesday night and charged with misdemeanor domestic battery.
ReplyDeleteIf the coach gets arrested, how can they expect the players to be accountable?
DeleteThis team will most likely draft Reuben Bain Jr, to stay true to character. SMH.
Florio reports the Jags, with no pick in the first, are trying to get into the bottom of 1 through a trade that might include Brian Thomas Jr.
ReplyDeletehttps://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/jaguars-may-be-trying-to-get-back-into-round-one
Hard pass.
DeleteUnfortunately, I ran out of time, so there won't be a mock draft from me this year. However, I do have the 49ers taking edge R Mason Thomas with the 27th pick. Then I have the team drafting safety Bud Clark during the second round. I am also predicting the 49ers will draft RB Emmett Johnson with one of their fourth round picks.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the toughest drafts to mock in a while. I don't see any trade value during it, and I think an argument can be made that the talent from the middle of the first round to the end of the fourth round is near even. I'm expecting several first round busts and late round gems to come out of this draft.
I really like Clark but I am hoping he will be there in the 4th round or if they can add a 3rd round pick he will be there
DeleteHe could be OldCoach. There are many prospects from this year who would get drafted lower in other drafts.
DeleteMid,
ReplyDeleteThe 49ers seem to have more success with later draft picks. Maybe, they produce 3 hits on D3.
Emmett Johnson would definitely be a hit.
DeleteDidn't have time to do a mock draft. Seems like WR is gonna be the 1st rd pick.
ReplyDeleteMy money is on KC or Boston. Wouldn't be surprised if we got Malachi Lawrence instead.
I think both will be gone before pick 27.
DeleteThere's no way in hell 6 wrs go before pick 27. There will be a run on OL starting late teens and will push somebody down.
DeleteMug,
ReplyDeleteI'd be good with any of those players. All three have had very good production that could carry over in NFL.
Am I the only one concerned with Concepcion's drop rate? Fumbles and dropped passes are the quickest way to get into KS's doghouse.
ReplyDeleteIt's a concern but as you consider his overall game it's not a disqualifier to me.
DeleteThe bigger but related concern is he sometimes seems to struggle making catches in traffic.
DeleteI think Concepcion's skillset pairs extremely well with Purdy.
DeleteI’ve got my money on the Niners taking Malachi Lawrence.
ReplyDeleteI thought Lawrence could end up being one of the best from this class but that was when he was in the late round 2 conversation. His meteoric rise into the 20's has me dubious.
DeleteI like him, but only in the second round.
DeleteBoston is a hard guy to get a read on. At the NFL level, will he be Jennings 2.0 or Anquan Boldin 2.0?
ReplyDeleteDid you see his 3-Cone and then watch his film. He's very fluid for his size so he's neither JJ or AB.
DeleteI don't follow the college game much these days and don't watch much film. Comment was based on a few highlights, impressions from others, and fit as a possession WR.
DeleteBoston's 3-cone was 6.80. That's elite for a smaller wr let alone one of Boston's size.
DeleteHow would he fit year 1 with Evans? Which WRs are on the field on 1st down?
DeleteWhen he isn't spelling Evans outside, big slot is where he'd likely get most of his work. He's a redzone machine too.
DeleteAdam Peters just got sniped by Andy Reid.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what a trade for Kayvon Thibodeaux would cost right now...?
ReplyDeleteWhat's he worth to you? I haven't watched much Giants ball but he never caught my eye.
DeleteProbably at least a second round pick.
DeleteIf it's more than a 4th, put the phone back down.
Delete😂
DeleteNo argument from me Scooter, but I'd be surprised if the Giants took less than a second round pick.
DeleteYeah, no idea Mid. He is in his last year though, and they are now flush with OLB/ Edge guys.
DeleteLooks like the run on OTs has begun.
ReplyDeleteProctor at 14?
ReplyDeleteThe Rams just drafted their QB to replace Stafford.
ReplyDeleteSimpson to Rams @ 13- great for us!
ReplyDeleteYep, just pushed a good player down to us.
DeleteSimpson- if Pittsburg didn't take him at 21, he probably would have slid deep 1 to Miami or to the 2nd- assuming Jets focus on defense- correct/I assume?
DeleteYep, I see what the Rams liked in Simpson but I'm not sold on him. Not much experience either.
DeleteThe last of Jimmy G.
ReplyDeleteWell, Malachi Lawrence won't be a 49er. He's a Cowboy.
ReplyDeleteIf he keeps slipping I could see the 49ers picking Dillon Thieneman
ReplyDeleteI'd be ecstatic.
DeleteKC Concepcion off to Cleveland.
ReplyDeleteFaulk and Parker still on the board.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteNiners traded back
I'm guessing the 49ers wanted Dillon Thieneman. So did I.
DeleteMid,
DeleteIf the 49ers are looking for a Safety, EM.Warren could be available at 30.
Trade down for 30 and 90, with Miami.
ReplyDeleteDid the Texans just steal the 49ers pick
ReplyDeleteQuite possible.
Delete49ers trade down with Miami and get pick 30 and 90.
ReplyDeleteGood deal
DeleteAny word on what we got
ReplyDeleteStill waiting. The 49ers traded down for pick 30 and 90.
Delete49ers just traded out of the first round.
ReplyDeleteAgain
ReplyDeleteYup, down to 33.
ReplyDeleteIf you have a bunch of guys with similar grades, may as well accumulate picks.
DeleteJets @ 33
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteWell I guess it is hurry up and wait. I had a feeling it might be the case
ReplyDeleteThey just traded pick 30 to the Jets.
ReplyDeleteWhat did they get
Delete33 and 179
DeleteNiners get 33 and 179 or 189.
ReplyDeleteGuess they weren’t thrilled with anyone so decided that quantity has a quality all its own.
ReplyDeleteSo they picked up a 2, 3 and late 5. I imagine they will trade back with one of their 4th round picks
ReplyDeleteJust a 3 and a 5.
DeleteAnd gave up a 4th to do so.
DeleteThey got #33
DeleteTrader John! I love it.
ReplyDeleteThere are all sorts of possibilities for a WR now. Stribling or Bell can be options now.
God Bless the Patriots. They took Lomu...bullet dodged.
One way to think about it is the 49ers moved back 3 spots to convert the 3rd they gave for Osa into a 4th instead, and then moved back 3 spots to add a 5th rounder.
ReplyDeleteAnother way to look at this is that we went from having 2 players in the top 100 draft picks, to now 3 players in the top 100.
DeleteSeattle is gonna pick Cashius Howell right?
ReplyDeleteI won't be surprised if the 49ers trade down from pick 33 tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWell where are they going with pick 33? Denzel Boston? Zion Young? Emmanuel McNeil-Warren?
ReplyDelete
