  2. My Prediction for Day one. TJ Parker.

    1. He's the kind of edge they like in Round 1 and very likely still on the board.

  3. Per, 49ersWebzone,
    Matt Miller,
Has the 49ers taking Toledo safety Emmanuel McNeil-Warren in the first round.

The truth will be revealed tonight.

    1. Good player but he seems to replicate Mustapha. Does he say that we are planning to trade him?

      Delete
  4. No, there's no mention of trading. Only that he sees's EMW making the kind of impact that the Seahawks Emmanwori has made.

  5. Chiefs DBs coach Dave Merritt, one of the best in the NFL, was arrested Wednesday night and charged with misdemeanor domestic battery.

    1. If the coach gets arrested, how can they expect the players to be accountable?

This team will most likely draft Reuben Bain Jr, to stay true to character. SMH.

  6. Florio reports the Jags, with no pick in the first, are trying to get into the bottom of 1 through a trade that might include Brian Thomas Jr.

  7. Unfortunately, I ran out of time, so there won't be a mock draft from me this year. However, I do have the 49ers taking edge R Mason Thomas with the 27th pick. Then I have the team drafting safety Bud Clark during the second round. I am also predicting the 49ers will draft RB Emmett Johnson with one of their fourth round picks.
This is one of the toughest drafts to mock in a while. I don't see any trade value during it, and I think an argument can be made that the talent from the middle of the first round to the end of the fourth round is near even. I'm expecting several first round busts and late round gems to come out of this draft.

    1. I really like Clark but I am hoping he will be there in the 4th round or if they can add a 3rd round pick he will be there

    2. He could be OldCoach. There are many prospects from this year who would get drafted lower in other drafts.

  8. Mid,
The 49ers seem to have more success with later draft picks. Maybe, they produce 3 hits on D3.

    1. Emmett Johnson would definitely be a hit.

  9. Didn't have time to do a mock draft. Seems like WR is gonna be the 1st rd pick.

My money is on KC or Boston. Wouldn't be surprised if we got Malachi Lawrence instead.

    1. I think both will be gone before pick 27.

    2. There's no way in hell 6 wrs go before pick 27. There will be a run on OL starting late teens and will push somebody down.

  10. Mug,
I'd be good with any of those players. All three have had very good production that could carry over in NFL.

  11. Am I the only one concerned with Concepcion's drop rate? Fumbles and dropped passes are the quickest way to get into KS's doghouse.

    ReplyDelete

    1. It's a concern but as you consider his overall game it's not a disqualifier to me.

      Delete
    2. The bigger but related concern is he sometimes seems to struggle making catches in traffic.

      Delete
    3. I think Concepcion's skillset pairs extremely well with Purdy.

  12. I’ve got my money on the Niners taking Malachi Lawrence.

    1. I thought Lawrence could end up being one of the best from this class but that was when he was in the late round 2 conversation. His meteoric rise into the 20's has me dubious.

    2. I like him, but only in the second round.

  13. Boston is a hard guy to get a read on. At the NFL level, will he be Jennings 2.0 or Anquan Boldin 2.0?

    1. Did you see his 3-Cone and then watch his film. He's very fluid for his size so he's neither JJ or AB.

      Delete
    2. I don't follow the college game much these days and don't watch much film. Comment was based on a few highlights, impressions from others, and fit as a possession WR.

      Delete
    3. Boston's 3-cone was 6.80. That's elite for a smaller wr let alone one of Boston's size.

      Delete
    4. How would he fit year 1 with Evans? Which WRs are on the field on 1st down?

      Delete
    5. When he isn't spelling Evans outside, big slot is where he'd likely get most of his work. He's a redzone machine too.

  14. Adam Peters just got sniped by Andy Reid.

  15. I wonder what a trade for Kayvon Thibodeaux would cost right now...?

    1. What's he worth to you? I haven't watched much Giants ball but he never caught my eye.

      Delete
    2. Probably at least a second round pick.

      Delete
    3. If it's more than a 4th, put the phone back down.

      Delete
    4. No argument from me Scooter, but I'd be surprised if the Giants took less than a second round pick.

    5. Yeah, no idea Mid. He is in his last year though, and they are now flush with OLB/ Edge guys.

  16. Looks like the run on OTs has begun.

  17. The Rams just drafted their QB to replace Stafford.

  18. Simpson to Rams @ 13- great for us!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yep, just pushed a good player down to us.

      Delete
    2. Simpson- if Pittsburg didn't take him at 21, he probably would have slid deep 1 to Miami or to the 2nd- assuming Jets focus on defense- correct/I assume?

      Delete
    3. Yep, I see what the Rams liked in Simpson but I'm not sold on him. Not much experience either.

      Delete
  19. Well, Malachi Lawrence won't be a 49er. He's a Cowboy.

    ReplyDelete
  20. If he keeps slipping I could see the 49ers picking Dillon Thieneman

    ReplyDelete
  21. KC Concepcion off to Cleveland.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Faulk and Parker still on the board.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Replies
    1. I'm guessing the 49ers wanted Dillon Thieneman. So did I.

      Delete
    2. Mid,
If the 49ers are looking for a Safety, EM.Warren could be available at 30.

      Delete
  24. Trade down for 30 and 90, with Miami.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Did the Texans just steal the 49ers pick

    ReplyDelete
  26. 49ers trade down with Miami and get pick 30 and 90.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Any word on what we got

    1. Still waiting. The 49ers traded down for pick 30 and 90.

  31. Well I guess it is hurry up and wait. I had a feeling it might be the case

    ReplyDelete
  32. They just traded pick 30 to the Jets.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Guess they weren’t thrilled with anyone so decided that quantity has a quality all its own.

    ReplyDelete
  34. So they picked up a 2, 3 and late 5. I imagine they will trade back with one of their 4th round picks

    ReplyDelete
  35. Trader John! I love it.

There are all sorts of possibilities for a WR now. Stribling or Bell can be options now.

God Bless the Patriots. They took Lomu...bullet dodged.

  36. One way to think about it is the 49ers moved back 3 spots to convert the 3rd they gave for Osa into a 4th instead, and then moved back 3 spots to add a 5th rounder.

    1. Another way to look at this is that we went from having 2 players in the top 100 draft picks, to now 3 players in the top 100.

  37. Seattle is gonna pick Cashius Howell right?

    ReplyDelete
  38. I won't be surprised if the 49ers trade down from pick 33 tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Well where are they going with pick 33? Denzel Boston? Zion Young? Emmanuel McNeil-Warren?

Day 2

The 49ers updated draft picks after the trade: Round 2: Pick 33 Round 2: Pick 58 Round 3: Pick 90 Round 4: Pick 127 Round 4: Pick 133 Round...
