Lynch Money

Sports Illustrated’s Justin Melo has Gracen Halton and Jaden Dugger listed as 2 of his 10 biggest steals from Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft: Gracen Halton, DT, San Francisco 49ers “49ers rookie defensive tackle Gracen Halton is playing a high-level rotational role for a 6-0 team. The 107th selection has been credited with 15 tackles and two sacks. He also forced and recovered a fumble. Halton is a quick-footed interior defender with explosiveness. He's consistently getting off blocks and making plays.” Jaden Dugger, LB, San Francisco 49ers “49ers linebacker Jaden Dugger was among our favorite predraft sleepers. The Shrine Bowl breakout stud is making us look smart so far. Dugger has 28 tackles, one sack, and one TFL. The fifth-round rookie has earned a sizable 211 snaps on Raheem Morris’ defense, meaning he's consistently playing with Fred Warner and Dre Greenlaw.” It looks like John Lynch was money on 4 or 5 picks from this past draft. If he can do that in this next draft, this team will be strong for many years to come.

Passing Of The Torch

At one point in the game Brock Purdy had to encourage Coach Shanahan to make up his mind and get the play call to him. This made me realize this is Brock Purdy's offense now. Full command and full trust!

49ers Hold Off Commanders 23-17

The 49ers offense came out rolling putting up 300 yards and a 20-point lead in the first half, only to come out after halftime to put up a measly 72 yards in the second leaving the defense out to dry. The final two minutes were more stressful than necessary but in the end the defense stepped up to get the win. Romello Height had a great game. It was an ugly win but 6-0 is mighty pretty! On to Atlanta.

*Mike Evans' Achilles is sore with tendonitis, which is no different from what he's dealt with all week, but he will miss a little bit of time, per Kyle Shanahan. Hopefully he gets the next 3 weeks to rest. Possible PRP shot during the bye.

MNF Week 6: Commanders vs. 49ers

PREDICTION:

-Brock Purdy: 285 passing yards, 4 TD passes -CMC: 120 scrimmage yards, TD -Kaelon Black: 50 rushing yards -Brandin Cooks: 40 receiving yards, TD -George Kittle: 70 receiving yards, 2 TD’s -Mike Evans: 85 receiving yards, TD -Fred Warner: INT -Gracen Halton: 1 sack -49ers win 35-20

Beam Me Up Shanny

Cap'n Kirk went for 8 Recs, 144 Yards & a TD last season in the playoffs against Blitzburg. He posted three MPH marks that would’ve topped the 49ers’ offense all last season. If he's back to 100% the 49ers won't need to trade for a WR. He's exceptional over the middle of the field. He also has the required quickness, speed, and route-running prowess to be a legit vertical threat and man beater.

Mykel Williams' Return

Mykel Williams in 13 pass rush snaps GTFO was 0.79 seconds (NFL Pro). That would be good for 3rd best in the NFL, with Travon Walker 1st at 0.76.

I Like Mike

The Mike Evans effect: The 49ers passing offense has already generated more EPA against man coverage than in all of 2025 (also than in all of 2024). I still find myself pinching my arm to make sure I'm not dreaming because it's hard to believe we actually got him!

49ers Clip Seahawks Wings 32-29

This was the most hard hitting, physical game this season. Toughness and heart come to mind when describing the 49ers performance. Sloppy to be sure but the most entertaining 7 turnover game you'll ever witness. This was a coming out party for the 49ers young defensive unit, particularly Gracen Halton who made a legendary forced fumble and recovery for TD to end the half. He's the best iDL on the team, and there can be no doubt about it. The 49ers are in the NFC West's driver's seat and about to get Nick Bosa back on the field. I'm gonna ride shotgun and enjoy this win tonight!

Week 5: 49ers vs Seahawks

Seattle is at No. 1 in pass rush win rate and the 49ers are No. 2 in pass block win rate headed into today’s game. The Seahawks defense is 1st in the NFL in epa/play outside the red zone. They rank 31st in red zone defense. Sam Darnold throws 62% of his passes between the numbers.
#2 in NFL 49ers force passes outside the numbers, allowing only 28% to be thrown between the numbers. #28 in NFL Darnold's splits? Between the numbers: +0.25 EPA/att, 59% success, 9.9 YPA, 31-of-39 Outside the numbers: -0.54 EPA/att, 35% success, 5.8 YPA, 14-of-30

The Seahawks won back-to-back big games against the 49ers last season. The 49ers had all offseason to think about those games. They also heard all the noise Seattle made on social media. A win keeps the Seahawks grounded while at the same taking command of the NFC West. Niners win this battle 20-16!

This will be the first game that Brock Purdy will ever play without Kyle Juszczyk in his career!

49ers Break Broncos 24-14

In what can only be described as a gritty performance, Mike Evans was a stud today playing with fractured ribs. The heat had a cumulative effect with players from both teams leaving with injuries. The 49ers were able to force a special team's turnover to get their offense on track and from there asserted their will against a very good second half team. The winning score came from Purdy to Kittle who reached 19.84 mph on that touchdown catch and run. He's been the fastest TE ball carrier of the week so far, per Next Generation Stats. 4-0 baby and it feels legit! On to the Seahawks!!

Week 4: Broncos vs 49ers

Bo Nix since 2025 (QB Rank)...
🔸7 fourth qtr comebacks (1st) 🔸9 game-winning drives (1st) 🔸20 TD when trailing by 1 score (1st) 🔸12 TD in 4th quarter (T-3rd) 🔸13 TD on 3rd/4th down (4th) 🔸5 TD on 3rd down in 4th qtr (T-1st)

The Broncos are a second half team. This may be a tail of two halves for Shanahan. Get out to an early lead in the first half and then grind it out on the ground in the second half. Fred Warner is 3-0 on coin tosses. Can he do it again?

The 49ers will improve to 4-0 after beating the Broncos 24-13 Predictions: Purdy: 290 yards passing, TD CMC: 145 total yards, TD Deebo: 60 all-purpose yards Cooks: 50 yards receiving Kittle: 70 yards receiving, TD
Evans: 65 yards receiving Defense: 1 sack (Halton), 1 INT (Stout)

Niners inactives vs. Broncos: QB Kurtis Rourke (3rd QB) OT Enrique Cruz Jr. CB Ephesians Prysock LB Tatum Bethune DE Nick Bosa (calf) DT James Thompson Jr. (ankle) RB Jordan James

Love At First Sting

The NFL has suspended 49ers owner Jed York 6 games and fined him $500,000

Here’s the statement from Jed York: “Today, the NFL concluded its review, and I accept its decision in full. To my family, to the players, coaches, and employees of the San Francisco 49ers, to our fans and partners, I am deeply sorry. This was an inexcusable mistake and I take full responsibility. What I did does not reflect my values or the man I strive to be for my family. While I fell short of the model I want to set for my sons, I now hope to show them the importance of owning up to one’s failures, and that even our worst moments teach us to be better. Leading the 49ers is a privilege, and one I don’t take lightly. Your trust will have to be earned back over time, and I look forward to that work ahead.”

York has already missed 3 games which will count towards his 6-game suspension. I don't know how Shanahan has done it without York, but we'll see if he can keep the magic going for 3 more games until Jed returns.😏
