In what can only be described as a gritty performance, Mike Evans was a stud today playing with fractured ribs. The heat had a cumulative effect with players from both teams leaving with injuries. The 49ers were able to force a special team's turnover to get their offense on track and from there asserted their will against a very good second half team. The winning score came from Purdy to Kittle who reached 19.84 mph on that touchdown catch and run. He's been the fastest TE ball carrier of the week so far, per Next Generation Stats. 4-0 baby and it feels legit! On to the Seahawks!!
Evans was immense today. Big props to him. Kittle is a medical marvel.

DeleteThe 49ers are allowing the lowest explosive play rate (3.5%) by any team through 4 games since 2000. They've allowed only nine 10+ yard runs & 20+ yard catches this year.
ReplyDeleteBrock Purdy is the only QB in NFL history to start 4-0 with 1 or fewer sacks + fumbles + INT.
49ers secondary has been exceptional this year. Hopefully Sigle and Stout aren't too banged up.
