Week 4: Broncos vs 49ers

Bo Nix since 2025 (QB Rank)...
🔸7 fourth qtr comebacks (1st) 🔸9 game-winning drives (1st) 🔸20 TD when trailing by 1 score (1st) 🔸12 TD in 4th quarter (T-3rd) 🔸13 TD on 3rd/4th down (4th) 🔸5 TD on 3rd down in 4th qtr (T-1st)

The Broncos are a second half team. This may be a tail of two halves for Shanahan. Get out to an early lead in the first half and then grind it out on the ground in the second half. Fred Warner is 3-0 on coin tosses. Can he do it again?

The 49ers will improve to 4-0 after beating the Broncos 24-13 Predictions: Purdy: 290 yards passing, TD CMC: 145 total yards, TD Deebo: 60 all-purpose yards Cooks: 50 yards receiving Kittle: 70 yards receiving, TD

  1. I need Deebo staying after practice on the jugs machine, as he's leading the league in drop rate at 18.2%. *Minimum 7 targets

    1. Could be the reason he had 0 targets last week.

  2. McVay has had no answers for Fangio so far.

  3. It looks like Fangio isn’t McVays only problem. It appears they are headed to a 1-3 start to the season. Who would have thought?

  4. Well I guess I spoke too soon.

  5. Better think again...dog gone it Eagles, historically bad when it counts

  6. Cowing has been given a decent amount of opportunities this season, but I have yet to see him capitalize on any of them.

    1. On that throw to him they weren’t on the same page. I wonder if Cowing was supposed to turn to the side instead of the middle.

  7. The defense needs to do a better job of getting off the field.

  8. What was that fourth-down call, Shanahan?!

    1. The call was fine. The execution was not.

  9. Even I knew that sneak wasnt going to work.

  10. Ok, defense let's get off the field.

  11. The Broncos keep getting penalized, and the 49ers keep apologizing for that by allowing them to get first down after first down.

  12. 49ers came out a little flat. They need to wake up on both sides of the ball.
Heck, the Eagles should have won the game against the freak'n Rams. Their defense layed down in the 4th QTR.

  13. Deebo is having a good start to the season.

  14. The weak part of Denver’s defense is the run game and the Niners offense are taking advantage..

  15. I think Evans would have caught that if healthy.

  16. Secondary has been fantastic in the 1st half. Morris is putting a lot on them, consistently rushing extra men, but they are holding up brilliantly.

  17. Wild guess re Surtain: Achilles?

    1. That'd be my guess as well.
You never want to see a player go down with a non-contact injury, even if they're your team's opponent.

  18. Unsurprisingly, Purdy doesn't look as good when none of his receivers can get open against tight man coverage.

Good thing Evans has been able to tough it out, as he's the only one able to fight through it to give Purdy a target.

Things might loosen up a little with Surtain out though. Kittle might become more of a factor.

    1. I think he's done a decent job given what the Broncos have been throwing at him.

    2. Sorry, I didn't mean to indicate that it was. I just meant that he's done a decent job against a tough pass rush that hasn't given him much.

    3. Agreed. He's had nowhere to go, but done well to extend plays and avoid negative plays.

  19. Purdy has done a decent job against the fifth-best pass rush in the league.

  20. The refs keep allowing early contact from the Broncos secondary.

    1. Yes. That should have been called imo.

  21. The defense has been horrendous on third down this season.

  22. Did the 49ers score a TD? My app crashed right after the CMC run.

    1. That’s a very good defense they are up against.

  24. Wish we had a pass rush.

  25. Hopefully not too serious for Juice there. Looked like the knee hyper extended.

  26. Purdy's numbers won't be great from today, but he's shown why he's a leading MVP candidate.

    1. Yep, had a few plays he'd like back, but for the most part he's continued to look very good against a very tough defense.

  27. How is Kittle still so fast so soon after an Achilles? Incredible.
