Rooke DL Mykel Williams is OUT FOR THE SEASON with a torn ACL. Should Lynch make a trade and what should he offer? I would not offer anything more than a 3rd for a 1 year rental. I think I might just ride the horse I got and see how far it takes me.

Another unfortunate injury. This team hasn't shown SB potential no rentals as far as I am concerned.
ReplyDeleteI don’t see how anyone player is going to have a big impact. I wouldn’t spend for an 8 game rental. Let’s go with what we have and see how far we can go and save our draft stock for next year.

ReplyDeleteI don't believe he is injured. I think they've just got a full compliment of DTs atm, so he's been the odd man out.
DeleteI doubt they'll make any big addition. But will likely sign Ferrell to active roster and add another DE to the PS.

DeleteIf the 49ers can obtain Hendrickson for two years, I would jump on that. If Hendrickson doesn't agree with this then the FO should pass on him. Personally, Trey would be an immediate stalwart on the Edge and (if signed for two years) present a great signing if Bosa is not ready by next September.

DeleteTo sign Hendrickson to a 2026 contract would likely run the 9ers >$16Mil. A high price for a player who'll be 32 Y/O.
He's still a productive player and I don't see him getting old over night from age 32-33. But as noted, I would only be interested in Hendrickson for a minimum of two years. This would give Bosa MW a chance to fully recover.

* Johnson missed all but 2 games last season and has recorded just one sack so far this season. Should be available, low salary
* Offer to trade Ji'Ayir Brown and a 2027 4th Rd pick to the Jets for Johnson. Jets DC Wilks might want Brown?
2) Arden Keys DT Titans. Replacement for Mykel Williams, fits 9er budget but a 1 year rental. Played for 9ers 2021 season.
