The stench of the last game is still in my nostrils. Will the 49ers clear the air? Not if they don't start making tackles. Not if they...

The San Francisco 49ers are 20-6 when the Three Amigos are on the field together. If they stay healthy you can forget about a "rebuil...
I think Farrell will be a much more significant signing than anyone is recognizing at this point- especially while WR room is light- allows them to run a lot more 22 personnel- run, slip Kittle, run some more.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see CMC carry the ball 18-20 times and Robinson 10 -12 times. I don't see it happening. The Seahawks are going to load the box. Forcing BP with a decimated WR room to win. A thin O line, weak WR group and a young D that hasn't played together as well as being on the road lead me to believe it will be the Seahawks week.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I have that feeling as well.
DeleteSeattle is a bad matchup opening week for this team. They have an incredibly stout defense. And while some poo poo the lack of weapons outside because of Kittle and CMC, not having a second receiver that teams need to respect can really condense the field. SF will need to play clean and have methodical drives... where this gets scary is the run blocking hasn't looked great.
On D we will see how much sf has shored up their Run D right off the bat because Seattle's Oline has been flat dominant in the run game.
Hoping for an ugly win where the D steps up and turns Darnold over a a time or two with an explosive from special teams.
As I alluded too in my response to OC, I really feel like the first few weeks will be an offensive slog .
ReplyDeleteI look for the O to take off after week 3 (if they can stay healthy). The addition of Robinson at that point I don't think can be overstated.
Signing DRob in F/A was such a sneaky good pick up. He's a weapon in the Red Zone. I predict 4-6 TD's from him even with him missing 3 games.
