  5. The top 100 players the Niners have 9 percent of the players, which includes 7 out of the top 30. Also, another grouping of 7 is the number of drafted picks the Niners have in the top 100. The Lynch/Shanny era is as strong as ever and should do well for a good many years.
This is the first year since the early nineties that I am truly excited about the team. This team has the talent and the staff to win every game this year. The only game I have serious doubts about is the very first game against the Jets. Even though the Niners have handled Rodgers...Monday night, Jets are talented especially on defense...should be fun. 6. San Francisco will work out wide receivers Monroe Young and Mike Harley Jr. on Monday, KPRC2's Aaron Wilson reported Sunday, citing a league source.

  7. Do Patriots have legitimate shot at trading for Brandon Aiyuk?
    https://sports.yahoo.com/patriots-legitimate-shot-trading-brandon-153300228.html

*Cam Marino of NFLDraftBuzz.com reported over the weekend that the Patriots and Cleveland Browns are "front-runners" in trade discussions for Aiyuk, suggesting both teams are willing to pay Aiyuk more than $30 million per year on a new deal. NBC Sports Bay Area's Matt Maiocco then reported Sunday that he views an Aiyuk trade as a realistic possibility while laying out why both New England and Cleveland would be logical trade partners.
    * Maiocco notes the Browns could entice the 49ers by sending Amari Cooper and multiple draft picks to San Francisco in exchange for Aiyuk.
    * "The Patriots are another logical trade partner for the 49ers," Maiocco wrote. "The Patriots could offer former 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne as part of a trade that includes an enticing package of 2025 draft picks.

  8. Bourne would be a small band-aid, imho. If he comes with a late 1st rd pick perhaps it could garner some attention. Cooper is a big question for me. I just don't know which Cooper shows up on Sundays.

  9. Bourne and "an enticing package of draft picks" I am not sure how much Bourne can contribute but he comes cheap averaging 6.5 mill a year over 3 years. What makes this trade attractive is the "enticing package of picks" if that package includes NEs 1st round pick the 49ers should jump on this trade. After signing BP for 60 mill or more the 9ers may need to do some rebuilding starting next year and multiple extra 25 picks is a start. I believe that with the great camp Jennings is having he may be setting himself up for his breakout year. What I believe is the most important part of an BA trade is by saving money they will sign TW the next day.

    1. I agree. They can’t pay everyone what they want. I doubt the Niners are going to budge much on their offer.

  10. This just in BA to the Steelers. No word on what they received for BA.
