Feliciano could be in the mix as well.
ReplyDeleteI would add 3 players who IMO, won't make the 53 roster, may be put on the practice squad, but they could also be cut by the 9ers.
ReplyDelete* TE Cameron Latu: He's a player who hasn’t taken an NFL snap, had a camp marred with drops, a season-ending injury, Brayden Willis played meaningful snaps down the stretch and The 9ers signed 2 TE in the off-season.
* CB Ambry Thomas: The disappointment comes with his being considered on the bubble after the 49ers used a 3rd Rd pick on him. With the free-agent and draft additions to the secondary, Thomas has to prove his worth to this roster.
Based on his experience and need for coverage in the NFL, Thomas
will start the season on the practice squad.
* Samuel Womack NCB: In 2022, Womack started as the 9ers’ NCB but contributed solely on ST by season’s end. In his career, he has registered 7 D stops and an 85.3 tackling grade, according to PFF, which speaks to his tackling acumen.
Womack is on the outside looking in with the addition of Renardo Green, Malik Mustapha, and Isaac Yiadom. He may catch on with
another team, but ultimately is left off the 53-man roster due to the numbers game.

A federal judge overturned the law suit against the NFL today. It should allow teams to have a better idea of the cap going forward.
ReplyDeleteRe Burford, my guess it's IR unless they want to send a message about the Super Bowl.
