Looking Dapper

Video of today's practice shows a jubliant Brandon Aiyuk striding up to John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan with two very enthusiastic daps. Could an extension be imminent? Sure looks like it....

  2. Lets hope we hear good news by tomorrow. Then they have to close the deal with TW.

  3. Hard to imagine that means anything other than a deal being agreed, albeit likely in principle only at this stage (or we would have had it confirmed by now).

Nice to get it done. Keen to see the particulars when they get released.

As OC said, now just need to get TW done.

  4. Yep, it's vital to get Williams back in the fold if he's certain he wants to play for another few years.

  5. Razor,
I agree. I don't see the 9ers being any better than a wildcard team who are out of the playoffs in the first round without TW

    1. Wonder if the 49ers would consider a swap for the Bucs TW... and vice versa.

    2. Guess not. Bucs just extended Wirfs.

How about 9ers trading for Patriots OLB Matthew Judson? He wants out of NE and could fill in until Greenlaw is off IR, if Paraag Marathe can make the $$ Numbers work?

    5. You almost never see player for player trades in the NFL. The only way I'd trade Aiyuk this year would be for the Patriots 1st round pick in 2025.

Judson is coming off a season-ending torn biceps injury that limited him to four games last season, He's not going to command top Money, or a top player like Aiyuk! He's also 32 Y/O and NE has been shopping him.
I suspect NE would be willing to trade for a young player that would
fit in with getting younger players.

  7. No doubt the Niners whiffed massively drafting Lance and what they gave up for him, but Purdy's ascent has helped alleviate that mistake!
Now, Lance is making the 9er look good and the Cowgirls look bad for acquiring him. After another rough start to camp, Lance made another lowlight-worthy toss during 11-on-11 drills that has since gone viral:
How Lance didn't see Cowboys safety Markquese Bell is anyone's guess, but reports of similar struggles have paralleled the QB's 2nd year with Dallas so far.
How did the 9ers keep it a closely guarded secret how poor Lance was and somehow trick the Cowgirls into dishing out a 4th rounder in exchange for the underachieving QB?
I wonder if JJ would care to explain WHY?

Gameday Week 2: 49ers vs Vikings

Despite Flores' intent to take away the run with 6 man fronts and blitzes, I'm expecting another run heavy game plan with Mason go...
