ReplyDeleteLooks like the Jordan Mason era has begun, although there are nine more to be cut as of this moment. Not surprised about Hasty. Too small for the pounding. Am sorry to see Turay go. Numbers game.
So far so good on Mason. I wonder if the Rams could be interested in Hasty. Turay was a bit redundant.
DeleteSounds like Purdy is going to make the 53.
ReplyDeleteCheaper and younger. Could argue more experience too if counting college ball.
DeleteI thought he had a better camp then Lance and Sudfeld.
DeleteShanny said Purdy was going to be the #2 behind Lance before Jimmy came back. He earned it fair and square. That's a $2 million dollar hit unless he signs with another team, which would reduce it to a cool million.
Delete"He earned it fair and square."
Delete,
He sure did. Better off taking the hit then letting a potential talent get away.
Yep, they showed they're not afraid to go with the right guy.
DeleteBrock Purdy makes the 53. The that's good news.
ReplyDeleteThe bad news?
NFL insider: "Jimmy Garoppolo expects to regain his starting position with the 49ers, and has every financial motivation to do so"
Here we go, let the ultimate quarterback controversy begin!
Keeping my fingers crossed that Qwantrezz Knight makes it to the PS. I really think he can develop like another E-Man
ReplyDeleteAgreed.
DeleteSurprised by Hasty, seemed better than Sermon in actual games. Think they'll try to bring him back to PS.
ReplyDeleteKind of shocked Purdy didn't go to PS, I mean no matter how good your camp was he still was a 7th round QB, not likely he'd have been picked up by anyone.
I am thinking JG isn't going to be around very long.
DeleteSame, under.

In an unprecedented move, the 49ers have carried 5 running backs (6 if you include fullback Kyle Juszczyk) on their initial 53-man roster.
-Elijah Mitchell
-Jeff Wilson
-Trey Sermon
-Ty Davis-Price
-Jordan Mason
They went with their best 53.
DeleteHyder made it along with Nick Zakelj, Jordan Mason and Brock Purdy.
ReplyDeleteNice additions. I think Zakelj will be a force to be reckon with.
Agreed.
