The postseason is a year away. Win or lose the only thing they're playing for today is pride. Another opportunity to advertise your wo...
Hate to see Thomas not playing.
ReplyDeleteOoof, yeah, that hurts.
DeleteWill be interesting to see who gets more snaps out of Johnson and Norman.
They both scare me, I suppose Johnson would be my choice.
DeleteOn the positive side, Bakhtiari and Vandes-Scantling out for the Packers.

Dontae Johnson lines up as the 49ers' first-string CB in warmups opposite Emmanuel Moseley
Limiting the Rodgers to Adams connection is vital to winning the game. It becomes harder without Thomas. Hopefully they can find a way to minimise the damage anyway.
DeleteHeard Thomas wasn't moving well throughout practices so Ryans must have a plan he's worked through all week. Go Niners!
DeleteScooter,
DeleteAs I commented earlier, vital to that end will be the back 7's pre-snap communication among themselves to readjust coverage responsibilities in response to the Packers lining up Adams all over the place and combining that with some pre-snap motion. Fred, Ward & Tartt will have to be talking all the time.....
Let's go, TB27. Get a Rodgers' INT leading to a win, and you can a job with the franchise indefinitely in some capacity or other!
ReplyDeleteGet off the field defense.
ReplyDeletePackers winning in the trenches. Why not have Bosa rush from the offense's left side since the LT is out?
ReplyDeleteWell that was simply an awful first defensive drive. Played soft on Adams, so of course he carved them up, and also soft up the middle against the run. Play like that all game and Packers will blow them out.
ReplyDeleteThis could get ugly fast.
ReplyDeletePackers look well prepared. Niners don't.
ReplyDeleteYep. 49ers are the ones playing tight and nervous. They need to find a way to stay in this one and not let it get away from them early.
DeleteWhere's Bosa??
ReplyDeleteNice Warner
ReplyDeleteMan, did they need that. Because they aren't stopping the Packers at all atm. VERY worrying on defense so far.
DeleteOffense needs a long sustained scoring drive
DeleteOkay that's the spark that is needed!
ReplyDeletePlaying like a bunch of muppets atm. CALM THE F DOWN BOYS!
ReplyDeleteBig break there, but Aiyuk has to hold onto that. Not good enough.
DeleteAnd then nobody can get open on 3rd down. Come on guys. Have to be better than that in the post season.
DeleteGood things happen when you double Adams.
ReplyDeleteNice stop okay offense let's get it going.
ReplyDeleteCome on Kittle.......
ReplyDeleteUnbelievable!
ReplyDeleteSkill players letting Niners and JG down.
ReplyDeleteThe moment looks WAAAAAAAYYYY too big for quite a few of these guys right now.
DeleteGood grief. This is simply awful football by the 49ers. Way too many mistakes. That could have been a TD to Kittle. Awful.
ReplyDeleteNice defense, come on offense let's get it together eh
ReplyDeleteThe defense looks like it has settled down and are now giving Adams the attention he deserves.
DeleteYep, offense needs to lift its game now. Blocking and catching both need to improve massively.
Packers defense is moving fast, some misdirection would really work right now.
ReplyDeleteLooks like Demeco Ryans has made the required adjustments. D Holding up so far. Offense needs to shed the jitters and just play with cool heads.
ReplyDeleteYeah, This is terrible to watch... Jimmy was actually playing well... cant waste it when he does, because no one knows when that train stops.
ReplyDeleteThis is just inept on offense right now.
ReplyDeleteAnd the defense isn't getting a chance to rest.
DeleteO line neither pass blocking well not doing a decent job run blocking....
ReplyDeleteOK, sticking with the running game is beginning to pay off. An occasion dose of Wilson should not hurt. Gotta make sure Mitchell doesn't get hurt from the pounding he's getting -- Packer D came ready to stop the run.
ReplyDeleteself-destruction is the name of the game
ReplyDeleteOh Jimmy. Just can't make that mistake. Needed to come away with points.
ReplyDeleteLook at it another way. If TW doesn't get a penalty (he does that a lot), the whole sequence is different
Deletecubus - yup
DeleteThat's true cubus, mistakes all around, but man... JG HAS to know better than to attempt that throw there.
DeleteMaybe Lance's rocket arm gets the ball there on time, but yeah JG shouldn't have made that throw.
Delete49ers are finding a way to stick around in this one despite their repeated mistakes.
ReplyDeleteBased on how the half went, being down by just 7 is an excellent position to be in for the 49ers.
But boy oh boy, they have to figure out how to get the offense rolling.
Shanny better make the adjustments or their luck is gonna run out.
ReplyDeletePlayers need to start making the plays they are supposed to.
DeleteWard redeeming himself with that block maybe the spark the Niners need.
ReplyDelete"Maybe the spark the 49ers need" appears to be the motto of the game for 49ers fans in this one. So far hasn't yielded anything.
DeleteMan, every time they get something going they self sabotage. This time Mitchell and Aiyuk with back breaking penalties when it should have been 1st and goal.
ReplyDeleteAnd now Deebo down.
This looks just like far too many games this year. Beating themselves with dumb mistakes.
There is still hope. If the Pro Bowlers and won't rise to the occasion, we need other players to do so.
DeleteWhat is up with the receivers today? Dropping passes. Not getting lined up correctly. Running wrong routes. Not winning one on one matchups.
ReplyDeleteThey are making the Packers secondary look amazing.
Combination of cold and big game?
DeleteI think the moment has been too big for them.
DeleteCritical stop by the D there. Couldn't let it become a two score game.
ReplyDeleteMassive next series for the 49ers offense. Starting to get to do or die time.
Gah! Just doesn't look like it will be the 49ers day.
ReplyDeleteThe offensive Line has straight up been owned in this game.
ReplyDeleteYep!
Deleteoutphysicaled at the LoS
DeleteOMG, Josh Norman :(
ReplyDeleteArmstead has been huge the second half of this season.
ReplyDeleteCan't ask much more of the D
ReplyDeleteWow. Just wow.
ReplyDeleteSpecial teams!!!
ReplyDeleteOMG! Great play Willis!
Of all the ways to tie the game, that was the least expected for mine.
WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
ReplyDeleteIncredible. Defense and special teams get the job done. Off to the NFCCG!!
ReplyDeleteDespite all the mistakes, this team hangs together and fight until the end. They have real heart!
ReplyDeleteNiners' much-maligned special teams redeem themselves!!!
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding me! Jeez....how did we ever win that game!
ReplyDeleteSpecial teams from Zero to Hero! What an amazing game!
If there was a way I didn't expect to win, this was it.
ReplyDeleteLMAO! Scooter, I'm so happy we get more write ups! Thank you 49ers!
ReplyDelete😂😂😂
DeleteA complete team win. Even TB27 hung in there. And Josh Norman did not commit a penalty on his one and only play. Can't ask for anything more.
ReplyDeleteWow just wow.
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe what I just saw!
