  1. If the Niners score 24 or less points they lose, if they score 30 plus points they win.

  2. Ambry Thomas gets the start opposite Norman. Go Niners beat the Titans!

  3. I hope the defense is prepared for the short and screen game tonight.

  4. JG and the 9ers start out with a nice drive and score....

  5. Heck of an opening drive. Great job with the misdirection off the back of the running game. Can't have a drive go more to script than that.

  6. Take away JG's first read and prevent him throwing in rhythm... and things can get dicey. Would like to see that again but looked like a lot of traffic he was throwing into there.

    1. On second viewing, just a bad read. Kittle was always well covered.

    2. I don't want even one Niner fan on the blog act like they are surprised.

      A leopard doesn't change it's spots!

Jimmy G is who we've always known him to be - a Quarterback who CANNOT be trusted! Simple as that!

  7. If he was gonna throw it, should have thrown it high for Kittle to go up and get it.

  8. I can't believe Jimmy missed that throw to Juice.

    1. 😂 I was thinking I can so believe he missed it!

  9. That was an awful series and only through sheer luck was it not disastrous.

    1. Hightower needs to be shown the door at the end of this season.

    2. Agreed, cubus. Though in this case the shanked punt wasn't the worst part of the series. Very lucky to not turn it over deep in their own territory on both 1st and 3rd down.

  10. Why isn't Kyle using his timeouts again? Get the ball back and score before half? What is wrong with Kyle? Something, clearly!

  11. Niners should have an extra :30 seconds left if Kyle uses a TO ahead of the 2 minute warning.

    1. I actually thought he was doing a good job of managing the clock there - you don't want to give the Titans another shot either. But then he didn't use a TO after JG got the 1st down on the QB sneak... that blows my mind. Perfect opportunity then to try and get some more points.

If anyone needed a reminder that Shanahan doesn’t really trust this offense not to turn the ball over, that was it.

    2. He did coach them into a couple free shots down the field for FG position right before the half, but he Chickened out, as usual. He has no guts! Coaches scared, just like the Herd says.

  13. As soon as Jones left the game they started to gash us on the ground.

    1. Still only got 23 rushing yards on the half, but they weren't getting anything going on the ground with Jones out there.

  14. Shanahan going ultra conservative. Not good against an aggressive coach like Vrabel.

  15. 191 total yards vs 55 total yards, but only up by 10. Could easily have had another 10 to 14 points, but JG's red zone INT and miss of a wide open Juice took points off the board. Not taking advantage of opportunities came back to bite them early in the season. Hopefully they can maintain their defensive dominance for the win in this one.

  16. Man, JG single handedly keeping the Titans in the game.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Exactly what I feared at the break. Dominate the first half, but miss a bunch of opportunities so only up by 10. Just takes one dumbass mistake to lose the lead. Enter JG...

    1. When you don't trust your QB (for GOOD reason), and you coach like a scaredy cat, BAD things happen!

    2. Still no sign of Trey Lance. Not one single play!

      Kyle has NO guts!!!!!

  18. I can't watch Jimmy Garoppolo hold this team back for even one more game! That's how tired I am of the Jimmy G experience.

I am at my wits end, OFFICIALLY!

  19. Sooo... no, defense cannot maintain their level of play. No answer for Brown. And now the offensive miscues loom large.

    1. That's football. Can't let the home team regain momentum. The 49ers had an opportunity to break the titans in the first half but they FAILED! Garoppolo's 2 INT's, one at the goal line, loom LARGE!

If anything good comes from this game, I hope we can end the Garoppolo era on some kind of positive note.

  20. When you play not to lose, guess what you end up doing?
How many times have we seen JG and 9ers losing a lead in the 2nd half?
Now we'll see if KS and JG can pull another game out after giving up a lead....

    1. You are right, GEEP! Kyle doesn't know how to play with a lead. It's his biggest weakness as a HC!

The reason? Kyle cannot control his emotions as a play caller, HC! It's really that simple for me! It's certainly not rocket science!

    2. Somewhere along the line, Kyle never learned that EVERY possession matters in the NFL! Especially on the road!

  22. What's with these wobbly ducks that Jimmy is throwing?

  23. NICE, JG redeems himself! Only one problem, 2:16 left

  24. A pick 6 would be nice right now....

  25. A mobile QB! I wish we had one of those .... oh wait ....

    ReplyDelete
  26. One game over .500, and NO EXCUSES left to use! We should have been done with this feeling of being let down by our QB, but no!

NOT GOOD ENOUGH, Kyle! Just not good enough!

  27. I'm officially done watching Garoppolo hold this team back. I'll catch you guys later!

I can no longer open myself to being disappointed by Jimmy G.

It's like Deja Vu, all over again!

    1. What do you think Razor … should they try to run it back with Jimmy G just one more time in 2022?

      How does the saying go?

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me?

Or is it ... fool me three times, shame on Kyle?

      SMH!

    2. There was never anyway they were going to bring Jimmy back next year. That's just media talk.

    3. Maybe we can at least put that nonsense to rest at this point?

    4. Oh man, the media is piling on now. Jimmy G is going to be a punchline around the Christmas table this weekend!

Sorry guys, but I saw this coming a mile away!

    5. The most talented 8-7 team in the league, but it's ultimately a QB driven league, and Jimmy isn't that guy!

    6. Razor,
"Jimmy gets an F on this test. My worst fears manifested themselves. I feel like I just got coal in my stocking."

I can't trust a QB who could have a great game last Sunday and then look horrible four days later. I want to really like Jimmy G, but his bone-headed play at times won't let me. I would never count on Garoppolo winning a SB playing for any team.

He could thank his lucky stars for Kettle and Deebo who consistently bail him out. Jimmy will be on the bench after a few games starting for another team without a very good surrounding cast.

  29. Those holding penalties and false starts are not all on Jimmy, but Titans' Game ball definitely goes to Jimmy. :)

At least this win will be a good reality check to our team and will stop players mouthing off that this team is superbowl bound.

    Deebo = Stud!

    1. Yup. Missing a sure TD to a wide open Juszczyk was totally on Jimmy. Putting the defense in poor position after his two Int's were also on him. Even if we make the playoffs, I can't trust JG to put the team on his back. After tonight's game Garoppolo's trade value took a big hit. He's more likely to garner a #4 draft pick right now.

As one 49ers moderator use to put it, "which JG is going to show up-"good Jimmy or bad Jimmy."
An inconsistent QB can't be counted on.

    2. You are mostly correct, although I think we can still get a 3rd and a 6th round pick for Jimmy. Let's see, by the end of the season.

But take things easy dude....will be good for your health. :)

This was a loss from the moment the schedule came out. We dominated in the 1st half and Jimmy was being Jimmy and we still lost by just 3 points.

Now if we lose to the Texans next week, then you can react the way you are reacting. At the moment we are still in the playoffs and as for tonight, we got taken down by a great team with an excellent coach and Defense. I mean Mahomes scored 3 points against this team. So chill! :)

    3. A loss is a loss by 3 or 30 points. And you're right, I should take it easy (my wife tells me the same thing, lol). But, I have to confess that even if Mahomes only scored 3 points against this team, it does very little to quell my discuss with Jimmy' play. And what burns me up is how we were so dominant on our first drive and than look like a completely different team thereafter. And can someone tell me why Shanahan didn't have Trey Lance in on the last play to attempt a long pass?
If I was a young man I'm sure that I'd be able to handle a game like tonite much better. But, I'm getting to old to take these frustrating losses. Thank God, for the off-season when I can reset.
