What To Make Of Martellus Bennett's Comments?

Former Patriots TE, Jermaine Wiggins said that teammates questioned whether they could depend on Jimmy Garoppolo. One such teammate, Martellus Bennett had this to say on Double Coverage's podcast with Jason and Devin McCourty:

“Bro, we lost two games [without Brady],” Bennett told the McCourtys, via NBCSportsBoston.com. (Actually, they lost only one game during Brady’s absence.) “One of them was because Jimmy Garoppolo was being a bitch. He decided not to play right before the game. Jacoby [Brissett] came out and played with a f–ked up thumb and played his heart out, but Jimmy was just being a bitch about it all.

“That’s why he . . . you can’t win with a bitch for a quarterback, first of all. That was the whole thing with him. He didn’t want to come out and do anything because his agent was trying to protect his body or some shit like that. Which, I can’t fault him for that. But like, you should have made that decision on Thursday. Now it’s Sunday.

“So anyways, he’s not going out there, so now Jacoby straps up and we lost to the Buffalo Bills. We shouldn’t have lost. It was just last-minute, trying to make adjustments for what Jacoby could do.”

So, what are we to make of Mr. Bennett's opinion and is the mystery "mother*ucker" Tom Brady was referring to no longer a mystery?

  1. Have to admit it's the first time I've heard this story and
don't really know what to make of it? But if it's true, as
far as I know, nothing like that has happened since he has
    been a 9er.
TWO THINGS ABOUT THIS BOTHER ME: 1) Why bring it up now, (after the draft) When JG's been a 9er for 4 years?
According to the story, Bennet appeared on Double Coverage's podcast with Jason and Devin McCourty and made the alleged allegations after the draft. The last day of the NFL draft was May 1st, almost 6 months ago. 6 months ago it would have made news, but now now, after 6 months! So who's pushing the story 6 months later and Why now?
