Nick Bosa said he thinks the #49ers are missing the vocal leadership of George Kittle and Raheem Mostert.

  1. Did they die? It's not like those guys aren't around to provide vocal leadership. Just not on the field.

The leadership they are missing is the guys that are no longer on the roster, imo.

  2. Bosa you recognize the problem and once you recognize it its up to you to change it...hence become a vocal leader. This team needs one come on.

  3. I just thought of something. What if our passing game woes are directly correlated to the loss of passing game coordinator, Mike LaFleur?

Doesn't seem like Scangarello has had the same affect on Jimmy G he had in the past. I wonder if an upgrade at quarterbacks coach would be an option Shanny would look at because I strongly feel they need to optimize their investment in Lance. Not sure Scangarello is the guy for that.

  4. Well my fellow 9er fans, I'll leave you to argue all things 9ers....I'M GOING SKING!

Tahoe 2021-22 ski season: Resort opening dates:
A big storm over the weekend, spurred by an atmospheric river, dropped several inches of snow around Lake Tahoe. According to NWS Reno, the storm dropped approximately 4-24 inches of snow on the eastern Sierra below 8,000 feet and 3-4 inches above 8,000 feet between Saturday and Tuesday morning.

For those of you who'd also like to get some skiing in,
Here are the opening dates for ski resorts in the Tahoe area this season:
Palisades Tahoe: Fri., Oct. 29 (New name for Squaw Valley)
Mt. Rose: TBA, estimated to open on Saturday, Nov. 6
    Heavenly, Northstar: Friday, Nov. 19
    Boreal: Monday, Nov. 23
    Sierra-at-Tahoe: Thursday, Nov. 25
    Sugar Bowl: Friday, Nov. 26
    Kirkwood: Friday, Dec. 3
    Diamond Peak: Thursday, Dec. 9
    Homewood: Sunday, Dec. 11

    1. Nice. I used to live in Tahoe in the bottom of ex-49ers TE, Russ Francis' house.

  5. Steve Young on KNBR today said the 49er locker room is "fraught with terror." Here's a link to an article about it. And the article includes a link to the broadcast.

  6. Raz,
Jimmy has only been average. Missing time because of injuries is more consistent than his play. Not sure if a quarterback coach can get Garoppolo back to LaFleur performance. Jimmy G looks nervous and out of sync at times and he seems determine not to throw deep passes which makes the 49ers offense limited. Garoppolo (I believe) has one more game to keep his starting job. And for him to secure his job for the rest of the season he likely needs to beat the Rams and the Cardinals after Chicago.

Regarding Bosa' comment, I would say that Mostert can't be depended on as a team leader simply because the chances of him coming back next year are slim to none. I feel that Trent Williams should be the vocal leader in the locker room and on the field. His outstanding All-Pro career speaks volumes in and of itself, but I also believe that the players would respect his vocal impute.

On defense, Warner is the undisputed leader. I'm a little taken aback that Bosa hasn't recognized that point. But, perhaps I'm only seeing a small fraction of his comment.

    1. Ok but what about Lance? Do we really want to trust Scangarello to develop him or can we get an upgrade to expedite his development?

  7. So, I went to the 49erswebzone for a little more context regarding Bosa' comment, here it is.

"So yeah, it does help to have some guys that are more vocal and will get on other guys about certain things," Bosa continued. "But we've got to work with what we've got, and we definitely have enough leaders out there that we should be able to do our job on offense and defense."

While, Bosa singled out a few players, he also makes it clear that there are enough leaders on the team on both sides of the ball. I agree. Now it's only a matter of stepping up.

  8. Players should question themself also.
    Pickup the glove!
Our Pass D needs some changes(CB) and our offensive plan also(QB).

    1. Someone needs to step up and lead. They've perfected failure so success should be on the horizon.

  9. Yep Razor so should it be.
And they should set up a commitee of ex-players in a advicary role who have the best interest in the franchise

  10. Today's athletes only listen to players like Tom Brady and LeBron James. For the must part today's new breed of
athletes feel that they already have it all together and don't need advice or instruction.

I guess that I'm stuck on old school when it comes to sports athletes attitude.

On one hand I can understand Bosa' point. The issue may not be about vocal leaders, but more about the players giving ear.

    1. Locker room culture is something Lynch is very cognizant of, and puts a high premium on. Let's assume he's on top of things.
