IMO, the 9er's O-Line 2025 sack rate of 4.5% was because both QB's were very efficient at getting the ball out quickly,
ReplyDeleteThe 9ers O-line allowed an overall pressure rate of 34.3% during the 2025 NFL season. This rate includes drop backs where the QB was hurried, hit, or sacked, and ranked near the middle to lower end of the league.
I attribute sacks to the QB while pressures are on the OL. I think we're operating out of shotgun more than we ever have thanks to that being Purdy's favorite.
DeleteThe Oline/Purdy was under duress against the Cleveland Browns last year. Purdy and the Oline pulled that game out with a win. But, it certainly helped that the Browns made some game changing mistakes. This year they will go up against SB champ Seattle twice and Myles Garrett twice. If the Oline staggers it will not end well.
ReplyDeleteI like that this team is flying under the radar with the two media darlings, Rams and Seahawks (rightfully so as SB Champs) as the NFC West favorites. If fortune shines on the 49ers in Australia, I suspect they go on to win the next 3 games setting up what could be for the division lead in Seattle.
