Interesting info. Especially with EMW. He was predominantly used as a box safety but has very good coverage numbers. With Theinaman he's very balanced with the exception of qbr allowed. Based purely on numbers as I haven't watched them I'd prefer Theinaman. This is based on his primarily being a free safety vs a box safety and his level of competition.
Big news in the NFC West with the expectation of the Rams acquiring CB Trent McDuffie from Kansas City for the No. 29 pick in the draft. Not sure I'd ever negotiate a deal with KC after the Dee Ford debacle.
Yeah Rams suck at drafting DBs/LBs that is why they trade for blue chip star DBs like Jalen Ramsey and now McDuffie.
But you gotta say, Rams are great at maximizing their resources.... They are good at drafting No 1 WRs and weapons at RB and also finding Good D-Linemen.
We are the opposite....we are an LB factory, but suck at drafting quality D-lineman and RBs. I guess both us and Rams are good at certain things and abysmal at others.
If the TW situation becomes sticky. There's a chance that the 49ers draft OL at 27 thereby making WR inconsequential. There are viable WRs into the 3rd rd. If Trent walks there could money to sign a high profile Egde FA. Things will get serious real soon.
The crushing loss against Seattle might make him look elsewhere that gives him a better chance to eventually win a long awaited SB. I don't want to see Trent go anywhere. But I also believe that at this point in his illustrious career he'd love a SB ring before hanging them up.

I think Morris is gonna want a FS similar to Bates.

ReplyDeleteWow! What a haul for the Chiefs. 4 draft picks for a Corner.
DeleteI think Kansas City will now use their own top 10 pick on Tackle and then use the Rams' pick on either WR or CB.
Mug, the Rams have struggled to draft and develop CB's for years. KC? Not so much....

I don't think we've ever needed a "blue chip" at CB to be successful.
DeleteThe more tape I watch the more I'm convinced taking Cooper over Boston would be a big mistake. Hope somehow, some way he's still on the board at 27.

Trent Williams isn't going anywhere. He won't play for anybody but the Shanahan's and Foerster.

DeleteMissouri LB Khalil Jacobs is scheduled to meet with the 49ers, per Fowler. Likely a UDFA.
