  1. The 3 most important factors when evaluating a draft prospect for this regime: Versatility, Intelligence, and Character or VIC.

  2. Friendly reminder that your dislike of Akheem Mesidor as a prospect is due to your concerns about what do to do with him in the year 2032.

  3. Auburn Center Connor Lew was tasked with setting protections at Auburn. Took pride in taking some workload off the QB’s plate. Prides himself on knowing what every OL is supposed to do. Had a formal meeting with Houston.

  4. Tony Pauline has been fairly accurate, and I trust his source on the 49ers having interest in Bell at 27. Tells me they have good news regarding his medical evaluation.

    1. I would be fine if the 49ers take Bell at 27. But, the WR class talent this year could extend into the 3rd rd with a couple of gems making it to day 3.

    2. Would be a bad pick that high. Chances of him doing anything for Shanahan in 2026 very low.

    3. Good point, Scooter.
If the 49ers draft a WR at 27, imho, he needs to be a D1S. As much as I like Chris Bell, I don't believe he's a day 1 starter. Also, if Sadiq is there he'd be hard to pass on even if he's a TE. This guy could become a modern day Frankinstien in Shanahan' offensive laboratory, lol.

  5. We are definitely picking one WR in the top 100. We might even double-dip.

I would be happy with any one of the following 5 WRs:

    Chris Brazzell II
    Denzel Boston
    Omar Cooper Jr
    Elijah Sarratt
    Antonio Williams

Tate, Tyson and Lemon will definitely be gone by the time we pick. Eagles (who might trade AJ Brown), Bills, Steelers, Commanders, Chiefs, Titans all might pick WR.

    1. It's funny you mention that. I think the safe bet is $1000 on the 49ers drafting a WR, S and LB 💯

    2. LB is iffy for me. If we go after Kendricks in FA, we will not draft an LB in the top 100.

I have a feeling this draft will be heavily tilted towards Offense.

    3. Martin's concussion and the draft depth all but guarantees a LB at some point.

  6. I, also believe that they could do better than Winters. Once Dcords figured out Winters he seemed to disappeared in games. Perhaps, the 49ers need to make a change on their small LB philosophy and look at larger LBs. These small LBs are having a hard time completing a full season.
