  1. 5-4 after the bye, not a strong finish. Probably only one home game in the playoffs. I'm guessing you aren't predicting another SB appearance. I can't read the schedule so I will make my prediction later.

  2. I have us splitting with the Rams and 'Hawks too.

But I see them losing against Bills, Packers, Lions and Chiefs.

So 11-6 and making the playoffs. Deebo gets traded before the Dead-line and Purdy solidifies himself as a Top-5 QB.

    1. Love the last part but not so much trading Deebo. I think depending on how he performs this year, he could stick around another year. He's one of one and a tone setter, plus he's Shanahan's favorite.

    2. Well, I think it is dependent on how Cowing and Pearsall come along. If one of them absolutely balls, then we might see Deebo or Aiyuk get traded. My money is on Deebo getting traded....with his injury history and his lack of separation.

But saw Deebo post his offseason workouts. Dude looks ripped and is probably gonna work for 2nd contract. Agree on the tone-setter part.

      Let's see....good problem to have.

  3. Deebo staying or moving may depend on how well and quickly Pearsall progresses. But if a WR is to be traded I believe it will be Deebo. Aiyuk and Pearsall would possibly give the 49ers the best route WRs in the league. But again, it depends on Pearsall.

  4. Interesting comments by NFL Analyst Cynthia Frelund (another 49ers blog) regarding the 49ers predicted wins for 2024. I'm not to keen on AI. But that is what she uses and it matches what my predicted win total is.

  5. 9ers 2024 season..........13 W ---- 4L
Week 6 loss to Seattle (short week)
Week 7 Win over KC (9ers don't want another KC loss)
Week 12 loss to GB (Snow and bad weather, BP Kryptonite)
Week 13 loss to Buffalo (Snow and bad weather, BP Kryptonite)
Week 16 loss to Miami (Trap game. 9ers coming off tough game against Rams, plus looking ahead to Detroit)
    * Both Deebo and Aiyuk stay with 9ers for 2024 season.

    1. Geep,
It is supposed to be a La Nina winter this year which should mean a dry year in the bay area...... maybe. The winter of 22/23 was a La Nina year and the wettest winter in the bay area in about 40 years. So if BP is going to lose 2 games because of weather lets hope our home games are all dry or maybe the 9ers end up a wildcard team. Anyone know how Dobbs plays in weather?

    3. OldCoach: The 9er schedule I'm looking at:
Week 12: Sun, Nov 24..Game played at Green Bay, not at Levi.
Week 13: Sun, Dec 1...Game played at Buffalo, Not at Levi.
I'd expect poor, to bad weather and possibly snow at both
GB and Buffalo for games played this time of year?
If the 9ers played GB and Buffalo in the Bay Area, I'd agree with you.

  6. Until further notice, 17 - 0 is the presumptive thought.

  7. I like the predictions on the 49ers 2024 win/loss record.
But, great season records without a SB trophy is starting to rub me the wrong way.
When Shanahan was hired many questioned has hiring because of his loss as an assistant with the Falcons against the Patriots in the Superbowl. But while Shanahan has more than proved his value as the 49ers head coach, how long do 49ers ownership and fans have to wait for the coveted SB win? If the 49ers make another SB appearance and lose again, should his leadership be questioned? I say yes.

    1. As someone that follows many sports, I can say with absolute certainty I get more enjoyment out of watching a team that is consistently very good and a chance of going all the way than a team that has short periods of brilliance interspersed between periods of being terrible.

As much as it sucks when your team doesn't win the trophy at the end of the year, it sucks significantly more not having much to cheer about all season.

  8. Shanahan will be the 49ers HC for as long as he wants to be.

  10. AES: I FEEL YOUR PAIN BRO!
As a 9er fan (and all 9er fans), we all want another SB win! RIGHT?

Then again, be glad you're not a Cowgirls fan! Their fans expect them to be there every year, but 1996 was the last time they won a Super Bowl. And they have to live with Mike McCarthy as their HC.

And if you really want to feel THE PAIN........
Think of the 12 other NFL teams that have NEVER WON A SB....

I hear you. But if the 49ers make another SB appearance and lose again, 3 loses in every SB during Shanahan's tenure can't be satisfying. The 49ers have the talent needed to win a Superbowl. The team will likely lose some talent after the 2024 season and their young players have yet to prove themselves except for Brock Purdy. Every new season presents a new adventure. Hopefully, this one finds it's way to a big shiny ring.

  12. GOOD THINGS HAPPENING WITH 2 more KC Chief players.
    https://www.yahoo.com/sports/two-chiefs-arrested-kansas-ahead-183546172.html
    * Two Chiefs arrested in Kansas ahead of OTAs...
    * This was the franchise's second brush with the law in a month as their rocky off-season continues. Wide receiver Rashee Rice is also being probed over two incidents in Dallas.
