Good morning everyone and welcome to day 3 of the NFL draft. Let's take a look at who the 49ers were able to add on day 2: Drake Jacks...

I saw him yesterday at his press conference. Shanny's ego was on hand. The so called "genius" that passed on Mahomes and Wats...

2025 NFL Draft Safety Rankings: Starks ———— Winston Jr. Nwankpa ———— Watts ———- Barron Rod ——— Keon Sabb Lathan Ransom Billy Bo...

Marques Sigle is the 5th highest graded Safety in the NFL right now per PFF.
ReplyDelete😤 The top 10 NFL defenses through 4 weeks, per PFN’s Defense Impact metric:
ReplyDelete1. Vikings - 85.0
2. Seahawks - 81.8
3. Falcons - 80.1
4. Rams - 79.8
5. Jaguars - 79.5
6. Bears - 78.9
7. Buccaneers - 78.8
8. Raiders - 78.3
9. Patriots - 77.3
10. 49ers - 77.2
And this despite all the injuries on the line!! without more injuries and guys returning we should move up on this ranking.
DeleteI said all we need is the defense to be top 10 and they've managed to do it without Bosa. Credit to Morris, defensive staff and players.

ReplyDeleteOuch, my mistake. The big loss last year that I was thinking of was against the Rams not Seattle. The 49ers already shook off the Rams loss in Australia. On to Seattle.
ReplyDeleteColby = hidden gem
ReplyDeleteHe's been gouda.🧀
DeleteSurprising since he got off to a bad start in training camp. I didn’t expect he would start this year. Not bad for a 7th round pick. Maybe the Niners know how to draft guards.
DeleteSo in the last thread I said it was unlikely the 49ers would pursue a player like Khalil Mack due to not wanting to commit a lot of cap to a player. But I just checked his contract out in more detail, and of his $18M contract this season only $8M is salary - the rest is signing bonus that would stay on the Chargers books.
ReplyDeleteAnd only part of the $8M would transfer to the acquiring team, with the amount dependent on how many game weeks before he gets traded (as players salary is paid out weekly over the course of the season).
That's actually a very doable contract situation for the 49ers.
Yep, he makes the most sense and they've shown interest in him before.
DeleteThe players the 49ers will have this week against Seattle they didn't have the last time they met:
ReplyDeleteGeorge Kittle
Fred Warner
Dre Greenlaw
Mike Evans
Deebo Samuel
Osa Odigizhuwa and perhaps Mykel Williams if all goes according to plan.
Hall of Fame talent, good point.
DeleteCan't say I'm sad to see all the reports about the Eagles looming cap disaster following the Lane Johnson retirement. Yes, they got the ring, but it's going to mean a few years of salary cap hell.
ReplyDeleteIt's something I've really liked about how the 49ers have managed their cap. Retained a strong, competitive team for 8 years that has been a whisker away twice and still in a cap situation they can manage to keep a strong team moving forward.
Highest % of WR catches resulting in 1D/TD (minimum 13 rec.)
ReplyDelete88.2% Mike Evans
80.0% Tee Higgins
78.1% JSN
77.8% Zay Flowers
76.9% Denzel Boston
National media finally giving Brock the credit he deserves. Moving their take from a "system" QB to an "Elite Processor" post snap.
ReplyDeleteGlad that he is finally getting the recognition. Hope he gets the MVP.
Big test coming up at Seattle. They are dealing with injuries too. Gonna be a heck of a Game of the Week!
Purdy and Burrow are the best post snap processors in the NFL.
DeleteOf the 27 NFL QBs who have played all four games this season all have been sacked a minimum of 5 times, with one exception.
ReplyDeleteIndeed.
