Tough call, but could be career saving for Ricky when he returns next year. I wish him well during his recovery stage.

resting the knee did not work. There may be no other options at this point. Fortunately for Ricky, he has youth on his side which could work in his favor. He should be ready and hungry next July.
I agree you have to do something as rest did not work.
