Taken By Force
Many reasons why the 49ers are on the low end of forcing turnovers, but what is the number one reason in your opinion?

Kocurek loves DL that play with a foundation of power and quick first step. It's why I say Parker, Young and Jacas will be guys I'm sure Kocurek will like.
DeleteWill be interesting to see if Morris gets his way though. He prefers his edges to have more speed.
Keyron Crawford was top 10 in the SEC in both pressures (43) and pass rush win rate (18.3%) this past season.
ReplyDeleteJordyn Tyson: earned a target on 32% of all routes, #2 in class, 3.02 yards/route vs man coverage and earned a target on 44% of his routes vs man coverage, #1 in class. 47% of ASU's receiving yards and 65% of ASU's receiving TDs. One of the best WRs in the class at understanding leverage & beating man coverage.
ReplyDeleteZion Young's % number is impressive. Do you see the 49ers picking him if he falls on their lap at 27?
ReplyDeleteNot with the character concerns. I don't expect them to draft any players with those types of red flags.
DeleteTeams starting to work phones for trades up/down, per JFowlerESPN. There’s growing sentiment that the 49ers would like to trade back and accrue a few more middle round picks. It’s going to get interesting on Thursday 🔥
ReplyDeleteMuch like happened in 2024, I suspect the 49ers will have a hard time finding someone to trade back with.
DeleteI think their best chance is Ariz but the Cardinals might trade for a pick before 27. It all depends on how badly they want Simpson and how much draft capital they are willing to give up. To move from 34 to 27 I have read they would have to give up a 3rd and 4th round pick
DeleteAlso depends on who else they think might try and take or move up for Simpson ahead of them at 34.
DeleteI'll be surprised if the 49ers are able to trade down during the first round. I feel this isn't a good year for teams interested in trading down.
DeleteAgreed, Mid.
DeleteTrader John might be busy this coming week.

ReplyDeleteRB Jonah Coleman: 1st down or TD on 35% of runs #1 in class.
ReplyDelete5 days left until draftmas
ReplyDeleteKayden McDonald: 91.2 run defense grade in 2025. Highest in CFB 💪
ReplyDeleteMcDonald has served as an ambassador for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio, demonstrating the character and maturity that NFL organizations covet in their locker rooms.
ReplyDeleteAnd was a Academic Award winner.
In other words, the antithesis of Zion Young.
Dexter Lawrence headed to the Bengals for pick 10.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good move by them.
DeleteExorbitant price tag but highlights the lack of blue-chip talent in this draft class.
DeleteYep.
DeleteYep, exactly. Pretty much the best use of the pick they could do.
Delete2026 NFL Draft DT prospects with the most tackles for loss on run plays in 2025, per TruMedia:
ReplyDelete😤 Lee Hunter, Texas Tech - 10
😤 Aaron Hall, Duke - 10
😤 Jayden Loving, Wake - 9
😤 Jordan van den Berg, GT - 9
😤 Tyler Onyedim, Texas A&M - 8
😤 Zxavian Harris, Ole Miss - 8
😤 Kayden McDonald, Ohio St. - 7
Late round steal Caden Barnett OG/C from Wyoming. He is a road grader. Likely available in round 6 or 7

ReplyDeleteGeorgia WR Zachariah Branch was arrested in Athens early this morning on misdemeanor charges of obstructing public sidewalks or streets and obstruction of a law enforcement officer.
ReplyDeleteBranch, a projected Day 2 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, was released at 3:44 a.m. on a $39 bond.
Alabama OT Kadyn Proctor visited the 49ers on a Top 30 visit, per
ReplyDeleteRapSheet.
Rap first reported that a few days ago - happened the same day Lomu visited.
DeleteIf we go based off top 30 visits, WR and OT would appear to be the target at 27.
Not necessarily Razor. There's also the possibility the 49ers already met with a prospect playing at another position before the top 30 visits started, and they are planning to take him at pick 27.
DeleteThis is why I said "if we go off top 30 visits".
DeleteMy mistake Scooter. Not only I did misread your post, I also listed Razor instead of you.

DeleteJack Jones our new CB is falling into great disfavor amongst Niner fans.
ReplyDeleteIf that's regarding his comments about CB being harder than QB, and using Purdy as an example, then 49ers fans need some hobbies.
DeleteUC,
DeleteDefinitely not a way to endear himself to 49ers fans. But, in fairness, he was echoing comments Cam Newton said about Purdy. Still, a poor decision now that he's a 49er.
I think they were offended by bringing up old issues, not necessarily by the content itself.
DeletePoor choice of words from a journeyman CB looking to win a spot on the roster.
DeleteBiggest wildcards of the 1st round (won't be surprised if they go top-12, also won't be surprised if still available in the mid-20s):
ReplyDeleteCB Jermod McCoy
OT Kadyn Proctor
DE Keldric Faulk
