My Final Mock Draft

 27 - A) WR Texas A&M K C Concepcion B) WR Washington Denzel Boston

58 - A) LG Georgia Tech Keylan Rutledge B) LG Iowa Gennings Dunker

*Dee Winters traded to Tennessee for pick 184

127 - DL Texas A&M Tyler Onyedim

133 - RB Penn St Nick Singleton

138 - S Oklahoma Robert Spears-Jennings

139 - Edge Western Michigan Nadame Tucker

184 - OG/C/OT Washington Carver Willis

I don't believe there will be a team willing to trade up to 27

I don't believe more than 5 WR's come off the board before 27 and I have the 49ers taking the 5th or 6th

One of Rutledge or Dunker should be available at 58 and ideally starts at LG

Onyedim has experience at 0t through 7t and can set the edge at DE, likely backup to Osa as their 3t penetrator

Singleton is a one cut and go runner they'd likely have on their board who brings some physicality

RSJ is a big speedy Safety that can tackle who Morris might have interest in

Tucker is their speed rusher who they can integrate on obvious passing situations

Willis is a perfect prototype for this scheme. A run blocking savant who can move and play everywhere along the OL

  1. Nice work razor. Could very well go this way.

My main concern with this sort of draft would be the pass rush would still be heavily reliant on Bosa and Osa.

    1. Thanks Scooter. Most difficult draft to predict since we've been doing them together.

    2. It really is. I think Lynch was being truthful about letting the draft come to them and going BPA. Now positional value will still factor into it, but yeah, I don't think they need to force much.

Main areas for me are pass rush and LG. But doesn't have to be a first rounder for either.

  2. Razor, so at 58 you didn't believe there was a DPR worthy of taking there? Just curious.

  3. 13 QB sacks in 25 indicates that help is a relevant necessity. If Tucker is the answer, that certainly works for me. But drafting him at 139 almost comes as an afterthought.

  4. Open question: What do people think about trading for Highsmith as a DPR, if he's available and affordable?

    1. If all it costs is say a 4th and Aiyuk then absolutely. Or if it's a trade involving Mac Jones and the 49ers get a draft pick back as well, then sure.

Comes down to what they are trying to achieve through the draft. I think a few people in the media are incorrectly assuming they are "all in" on 2026 and so will be focused on adding immediate impact through the 2026 draft picks. With that mindset, adding Highsmith makes sense.

Imo, they used FA to provide the immediate impact and will use the draft for future impact. And as a result I don't think they'll look to add Highsmith unless the cost is low.

"...will use the draft for future impact."

      That's what I was thinking.

  5. I'm finding it impossible to do a mock draft this year because it really is a great opportunity to just let the draft come to them and take BPA or trade back if the option presents itself.

There are a few guys though that I feel will be high on the 49ers radar:
    - If TJ Parker is available at 27, I think he'll be the pick.
    - Even with TW in the fold, I'm not ruling out Lomu. I keep hearing the team does really rate him, that the mock drafting is not just speculation on 49ers taking OT but that they like Lomu specifically. Could be seen as a LG candidate to start.
    - if they don't go WR early, then I believe Reggie Virgil will be a guy they target.
    - They've met with OL Alex Harkey three separate times... feels like a day 3 trade back or UDFA target.
    - They will add a penetrating DT at some point - Onyedim, McClellan, Proctor, Durant or Konga on day 3 feels a safe bet.
    - I still think they'd like to add a S/LB type to compete at big nickel. Probably a target of opportunity thing though, won't force it.

    1. Pauline has been curiously quiet regarding the 49ers after that early prediction of Chris Bell at 27.

    2. I think they probably like him, but I don't believe they'd use 27 on him.

Pauline was on Guerendo a couple years ago, but had it a round early.

    3. I think the chances of Parker being on the board at 27 are really good. Maybe a Parker then Bell one two punch?

    4. That could work.

Maybe I'm crazy and they don't rate Parker that highly, but to me he looks like the sort of edge rusher Kocurek will really like, while also having the ability to play as a stand up on ball LB/ edge in 5-2 fronts that occasionally covers the flat.

Question is, is he the sort of player Morris wants? Not sure.

    5. They let Saleh have a lot of input last draft, right? Morris should get the same treatment.

    6. I'm sure his input will be sought. Question for me though is whether Morris will listen to Kocurek's input.

Saleh used a lot of undersized, speedy DE/OLB types and 3-4/5-2 fronts at the Jets, but that didn't make the 49ers draft such a player last year.

  6. Six players who, from what I’m hearing, have a shot to go in the first-round:

    • Washington WR Denzel Boston
    • Tennessee CB Colton Hood
    • Georgia LB CJ Allen
    • Notre Dame RB Jadarian Price
    • UCF EDGE Malachi Lawrence
    • Arizona State OT Max Iheanachor

  7. If they go WR in round 1, I think I've come a full circle and gone back to Denzel Boston being the target. I look at the WRs they've brought in, and the majority are bigger body guys. Makes me think they have a plan/ desire to add some size to the WR room.
