I’m taking both Evans and Doubs, and I’d probably still draft a wide receiver in the second or third round. I don’t really follow the draft, so I’m not sure where the strongest group of receivers is. I’m not familiar with the financial side either, but I think Razor mentioned Doubs would be overpaid for what he offers. Also, the TW affair could change everything.

He Played all 17 games in 2025, primarily as the 3rd WR behind Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison. 29 receptions for 444 yards, 4 TD's and 15.3 yards per catch. Proven ability to play inside (slot) or outside.
Delete* Tends to have quiet stretches broken by sudden bursts of high production, rather than consistent weekly dominance.
Has yet to prove he can handle a high-volume WR1 or WR2 role over a full season, largely functioning as a 3rd/4th option.

The 49ers are reportedly one of 5 teams to have called the Eagles regarding a trade for Jalen Carter, per Easton__Butler. Packers, Bears, Seahawks, and Raiders are the other 4.
ReplyDeleteThe last free agent DT the 9ers signed from the Eagles, Javon Hargrave, signed a 4-year, $84 million contract with the 9ers in March 2023, played 2 years and was released released on the first day of the 2025 league year. A significant amount of his remaining guaranteed money ($17.485 million dead cap) was deferred to 2026.
DeleteQuestion that has to be asked is why is he even available? He's been pretty good on the field, and since the crash pre-draft it's been a few minor things only that have been reported. Makes me think there are additional off field things that aren't widely known.
