KC Concepcion Good route runner. High level athleticism. Very strong, physical player after the catch. Extremely hard to bring down. Tracks the deep ball really well. Dangerous return specialist. Excellent through contact receiver. Very explosive, and has a good catch radius. Excels underneath as a receiver with good speed. Lethal punt returner and RAC weapon. Extends really well outside of his frame to make catches. Excellent stop and go ability. Maintains concentration very well through traffic. High level route runner. Settles down well between zones. Good run blocker on the boundary. Very good contact balance. Tiptoes the sideline very well.
With the 49ers likely drafting in the lower 20's I believe Kyle Shanahan will love Concepcion as a prospect in his offense and he'll likely still be on the board. He would pair perfectly with Purdy.

Niners signed LB Eric Kendricks to the practice squad.

Matthew Stafford has only thrown 3+ INT's in a game 14 times.
ReplyDeleteYes. But winning a SB goes a long way in forgiveness 🤙
DeleteBrock's only 25 years old. How long did it take Stafford?
DeleteStafford should send Tartt a present every Christmas for being nice enough to drop that interception.🎁
Are the NYGiants still sending Christmas gifts to Roger Craig for fumbling inside their 5yrd line? Football is not a perfect game and even great players make mistakes. Montana had his share of them. But I only remember him being the major component of the glory years and Superbowl wins.
DeleteStafford threw that ball right into Tartt's hands. You can't deny that play sticks in your craw just like Craig's fumble.
DeleteCraig's fumble can still cause me angst, but so can Purdy's overthrown pass to Jennings for a possible SB win against the Chiefs. Again, football is not a perfect game. All I can do is hope the 49ers can win another SB soon whether it's with Purdy or someone else.
DeleteI'll ride with whoever Shanahan rides with.

DeleteRobinson had 3 missed tackles, and 3 catches on 3 targets on Monday for 35 yards. He was the lowest graded player on defense, per PFF. Given the history with Kendricks, I wouldn't be at all surprised if he starts Sunday.

ReplyDeleteRE Shanahan's 1st Round Pick In '26 Draft
* NFL Scouting Report(s):
* Makai Lemon, WR USC is considered a more complete receiver, with a technical foundation, separation ability, and versatility for both slot and outside roles. His primary weaknesses are his size, which can be exploited by press coverage and lack of explosive first step to separate vertically on the outside.
* KC Concepcion, WR Texas A&M is a nimble, crafty slot receiver known for his route-running and feel for space, but needs to add strength to overcome physical limitations at the NFL level.
* Lemon has a smoother transition path, while Concepcion excels in the intermediate areas but has shown a slight dip in production recently, making his 2025 season crucial for scouts.
NOTE: Concepcion's 2025 season has shown significant improvement in his new role at Texas A&M compared to his 2024 season at NC State.
College playoffs, Bowl games and NFL combine will likely determine
who KS would draft in 2026 Rd #1 draft.
I expect Lemon to go top 15.

ReplyDeleteNiners offense in the red zone tied with JAX for the highest % of drives reaching the red zone, and ranking 3rd in TD rate once inside it.
Am in Cleveland and the temperatures are so cold, the winds are so fierce, and blizzard-like conditions are soon expected through the
ReplyDeleteweekend that you have to wonder how Brock Purdy and the KS offense
will fare on Sunday. Well, I think I know. But we'll wait til Sunday to find
out for sure. In the meantime, my sister has canceled Thanksgiving dinner because of the poor expected driving conditions.
If the 49ers release Aiyuk this offseason with a post-June 1 designation, they GAIN 2026 cap space -- even with the dead-cap hit, because they're free of 2026 payments. Then they'll get even more 2027 space.
