This is very interesting. I wouldn’t have expected he would be doubled so much as a first game rookie. I wonder why his Overall score wasn’t higher.
ReplyDeleteWhy would teams double him so much while not doubling Bosa? His success rate versus the double was the absolute worst on this list.
ReplyDeleteYou may have answered your own question. Until he proves he can defeat double teams consistently he'll likely see more.
DeleteWhere Mykel Williams lined up in the first game.
ReplyDeleteLeft end - 6
Left defensive tackle - 2
Left outside edge - 7 (outside the tackle)
Right defensive tackle - 5
Right end - 10
Right outside linebacker - 1
Right outside edge - 6
Middle linebacker - 1
Slot corner -1
UC,
ReplyDeleteGood point. With MK lining up at many positions his double team numbers can be deceptive.
By that you mean - offense doubling up the position by play design.
DeleteNow it makes a little more sense
DeleteThe Browns move Garrett up and down the line whichever is the most favorable matchup and they'll stand him up too.
ReplyDeleteGeorgia Tech's kicker just nailed a 55 yarder to defeat Clemson in a special teams fire drill!
ReplyDeleteThat was one hell of a game and one hell of a kick. G Tech may be a top 10 team this year for the first time in a long long time
DeleteAwesome FG under pressure with time running out as well.
DeleteDaniels of the Commanders with the PCL. Gonna have to tone down the running. Doesn't have the body type imho to sustain a career of it.
ReplyDeleteRG III, 2.0
DeleteThe 49ers have waived Robert Beal Jr.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if they will sign him to the P.S. I thought he looked far better than he has in the past this last preseason
DeleteCurtis Robinson replaces Beal on the active roster.
ReplyDeleteThe Niners will run and run frequently and the Saints can't stop them. On the flip side, the Niners stuff the run and rush the passer. Niners 27 -10.
ReplyDeletemy only "concern" is if Kellen Moore goes spread and hurry up as they have receivers/Kamara that can do some dame..... I think Mac Jones will be fine........ I suspect Shanny won't deviate much from the norm, tbh- and Staley probably anticipates as much and won't blitz much. We shall see........ 24-13. Just limit mistakes/turnovers...... would love to see some 22 w Robinson and CMC sharing the backfield.
DeleteAgreed, UC. The less passes that MJ throws the better. The Saints were soft against the run last week and the 49ers need to take advantage of that tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteNext weeks game against Arizona will be a big test, so a win tomorrow is important. After next weeks game D'Marcus Robinson returns and Aiyuk along with Mustafa will return soon as well.
