Cat's Out Of The Bag

"Those high ankles are never a fun thing," said Jimmy Garoppolo in reference to #49ers teammate Trent Williams.

  1. Shanny wouldn't say whether it was a high ankle or not. Did Jimmy G just spill the goods or is there some kerfudgery going on?

    1. Well there we go. Looks like JG did let the cat out of the bag.

Assuming it is a high ankle sprain, find it hard to believe Williams will be able to go.

    3. IIRC, Kyle had mentioned in a presser earlier this week that Trent's injury was similar to Jordan's (who had been diagnosed with a high ankle sprain last week but did not seem to have a problem playing). All high ankle sprains are apparently not created equal.

He had his helmet on so I can't report on his facial expression. All I can say is he was walking slowly and without an orthopedic boot or any pronounced limp.

Matt. Is he limping? Is there a grimace on his face? The good people need details.

  6. "Sam Farmer of the Los Angeles Times reports that ticket sales for Sunday's NFC Championship Game between the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium are on pace to break a StubHub record. The matchup between the NFC West rivals, the third of the season, is set to become the best-selling playoff game in the history of the ticket sales site, not including the Super Bowl."

  7. AND EVEN BETTER FOR THE 9ERS: Surging ticket resale market suggests 49ers fans will outnumber Rams fans for NFC championship game at SoFi Stadium....
The Los Angeles Times reported that ticket resale site Vivid Seats is estimating 65 percent of fans in attendance at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif., will be 49ers fans. The Rams and 49ers recently played in a Week 18 matchup at SoFi Stadium, in which Los Angeles had to use silent counts at home due to the crowd noise from 9ers fans.
