  1. 3:45 pm PDT, 10 miles south of Levis. Rain and extremely gusty, swirling winds. Storm conditions, basically. Ball in the air will need to be accompanied by a prayer. Conditions will also be a test of Levis' field drainage system.

    1. I've already seen shots of the porta-loo's sliding across the parking lot!

I see they've got all LB's up, including a practice squad one. Preparing for a war of attrition on the ground!

    2. Yup, this one's for the mudders! Joe Staley is feeling envious missing the action in the trenches in weather like this.
Whitner says that the offense will have the edge in the wet grass. Takeo Spikes agrees.

  2. My kind of game, nasty wind and rain.

  3. $13 to get into the stadium and $45 for lower level! Damn, I wish I lived nearby. I got a gortex suit!

  4. Syle just put one through the uprights from 60 yards with the wind.

  5. A win tonight doubles the 49ers chances of a playoff appearance. A loss and it drops to a 1 in 7 chance. Big game tonight.

  6. I told you guys Mitchell was the man!

  7. That drive looked good hope the missed extra point doesn't come back to haunt them.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Niners missing Kittle's blocking in the run game.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Depressing how the QBs just throw deep and wait for Niners' DBs to commit PIs. Ugh!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Defense has to stop giving up big pass plays/ penalties on 3rd and long. Colts shouldn't even be close to scoring in this one yet, but now in the shadow of the goal line chasing their 2nd TD. No excuse for it.

  11. Thank you, Wentz! Thanksgiving came early!

    ReplyDelete
  12. Just the play started it was clear that Moore was going to be beat. The play had not chance to develop. One first down in the last three series. Sigh!

    ReplyDelete
  13. By my count that is now four clear INT chances the 49ers have let slip. Also been a couple of other throws into danger by Wentz, as well as the INT. 49ers MUST take advantage while Wentz is trying to give them the game.

    1. This is one reason for the lousy turnover ratio.

      Delete
  14. Another three and out -- O line not getting any push as has been the case for a lot of this year.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Good grief. 49ers get two HUGE breaks there. A dropped pass on 3rd and long with the guy wide open, then a touchback after Aiyuk's gaffe on the PR.

Mistakes, mistakes, mistakes. They just keep making them. Today they have so far been incredibly lucky only one has led to points.

    1. Another three and out -- running game come to a stuttering halt. QB struggles understandable on both sides.

      Delete
    2. QB stuggles completely understandable right now.

49ers gave up too many stupid big plays early on, and haven't taken advantage of Wentz trying to give them the game.

Last couple of series they've been riding their luck, but this time it goes the Colts way with the Deebo fumble.

If they lose this one, they again only have themselves to blame.

      Delete
  16. Turn your damn head around -- how difficult is that?

    ReplyDelete
  17. 49ers have done this to themselves. Should be leading fairly comfortably, but once again have done everything to keep the opponent in the game, and they've taken it with open arms.

The team has the talent. It isn't a talent issue. It is very much a discipline and mental toughness issue.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. And who deserves blame for a lack of discipline and mental toughness?

      The equipment manager?

      Delete
    2. And why is it that the Colts can take some deep shots but the 49ers can't?

Is there something in the rule book the forbids Kyle from calling a deep shot?

      Delete
    3. Oh I see. I always thought that the Head Coach was always responsible for instilling discipline and mental toughness. My bad, Scooter.

      Delete
    4. Or should I say ULTIMATELY responsible.

      Delete
    5. How about wasting challenges? Who's responsible for that, Scooter?

      Delete
    6. The players always get off easy when it comes to a lack of discipline. Too easy to put all the blame on the coach.

Yes, ultimate responsibility will fall on the coach. But don't give the players a pass.

    7. The thing about the NFL, it often comes down to the little things. The teams that are excellent when it comes to taking care of those little details win a lot of close games. Especially in the rain.

Just a heads up - The 49ers DID NOT work on slippery ball drills this week. Kyles doesn't believe in them.

    9. Throw it deep and you might get a call. Who would have thought? Not Kyle, apparently.

      Delete
    10. Again, is there some obscure rule in the rule book that says the San Francisco 49ers are not allowed to take deep shots in the passing game?

      Delete
  18. okay just take a knee and forget it. too many mistakes

    ReplyDelete
  19. Shanny starts out the game with a lot of misdirection, going outside, play action and its working then he goes into running between the tackles and BS pass plays. Players can't get out of their own way. Besides dropped passes and fumbles, defense can't catch a fly. They can't tackle either.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Challenge for absolutely no reason. KS' gaffes during games are becoming routine.

    1. If it looks like crap, plays like crap then it's gotta be crap :(

    2. Damn, this game's making me physically sick. The only
thing worse than the weather, are the clown on the
field. Think that's what I'm going to rename them, the
49 CLOWNS and their ring master KS.

  22. Awful. Mistake after mistake after mistake. Just awful football.

    1. Lynch better be working the phones after this loss.

    2. Mistakes by players and coaches. The coaches part is unacceptable, imo. It looks like mediocrity for all is the culture the 49ers have cultivated.

    3. Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

    4. Out of a bye week, and this is what we get?

      Delete
    5. So what do you think Scooter? Time to take off the rose colored glasses and face the fact this team's
      NOT MAKING THE PLAYOFFS?
My worst fears have come to fruition

      Delete
    6. GEEP, the team has come back from the bye making the same mistakes. So yep, it looks very unlikely they'll be a playoff team.

      Delete
    7. Hey guys, should we compare Garoppolo's and Wentz's Passer Ratings?

      Delete
    8. Have you guys noticed Fred Warner is the only guy on the 49ers defense that punches at the football?

It's all the rage in 2021.

Yet another drill they apparently don't teach in Santa Clara.

      Delete
    9. OK, I got it:

      Carson Wentz: 106.2
      Jimmy Garoppolo: 60.9

      Delete
  23. I'm worried that even though this performance is bad, Kyle Shanahan will still get a pass. He has two solid excuses for today :)

    1) The Rain (Even though Colts are kicking our butts in the same rain)
    2) Our Best tackle Trent Williams & TE George Kittle are not playing

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yep. He always gets passes.

      Delete
    2. You are right Mugeek9er, of course he will. And Jimmy will get a pass as well.

      Delete
    3. Oh...and I forgot his favorite... 'The execution has to be better'.

Classic management situation of what happens when the top leadership does not have accountability. You don't inspire your team.

      Delete
    4. Should we all tune into Kyle's press conference and watch him stare at the floor while he answers questions again?

      Delete
    5. Lol! If I were a beat writer, I will go to the Press conference and ask Kyle Shanahan to go to his own dog house and may be return some punts next. :)

      Delete
    6. lol, Mugeek9er, you gave me a belly laugh with that one.

      Delete
    7. My wife turned to me during early 4th QTR of the game and asked .... "Is Kyle trying to lose this game?" lol

      Delete
    8. At the press conference, they asked Kyle what happened on his failed (blunder) challenge and he claims ... are you ready for it .... his "headset went out", I kid you not, he said that!

I'm done with the boldface BS!

      Delete
  24. WTF right back what you were doing in the first drive.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Good play calling now from Shanahan... More of that please! Couple of nice throws from Jimmy too.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I get the feeling it will be too little too late and another manufactured close loss --- aargh :(

    1. NO MORE KS EXCUSES! It's over and another 9er W.. It's time to beat the crowd and go home!
      PLAYOFFS? ROFLMAO

      Delete
    2. Welcome to ROCK BOTTOM, right GEEP?

      Delete
  27. Okay Shanny don't get cute go right back to what WORKS!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Deebo Samuel is returning Kick returns now!!?? Why?? This game is lost....why do you put your best player in that situation and risk losing him? Unreal decision making.

    ReplyDelete
  29. This is what we get from Shanahan and Garoppolo coming out of a bye week? YIKES!

    ReplyDelete
  30. OK, I'm home now and time to post a couple of thoughts!
I've Been a 9er far for year and will continue to be, BUT...
THIS TEAM SUCKS,WITH NO CHANCE OF MAKING THE PLAYOFFS!
    1) KS needs to be told if he starts JG again he'll be fired.
Start TL, I don't care if he loses every game. KS knew he had little game experience when he drafted him and starting him is the only way he'll be ready for 2022 season. If he's not, heads need to roll.
Jeb York needs to call a meeting of all players and coaches and put them on notice. All of you will be evaluated the next 11 games of the season! SOME OF YOU WILL NOT BE HERE NEXT YEAR. That includes everyone except me! (Unfortunately)!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. At the very least, the 49ers can still use the rest of the season to prepare themselves to come back in 2022, healthy, with a duel-threat QB, and a lot of talent on both sides of the ball, but that means they have to get Trey Lance some experience, and like you said GEEP, figure out who is worth keeping and who needs to be shown the door.

Changes need to be made, because continuing with the status quo will no longer suffice!

      Delete
    2. This team is not a playoff contender. They overvalued themself and it starts and ends with Shanahan. At this point, the 49ers' best chance is to go young and hope to build something for future years because this run with so many veterans is stagnating the franchise.

      Delete
    3. ** 49er fan for years** (I'm still so PO'd I can't type)
      1) Jed York, John Lynch, and Kyle Shanahan need to go on national TV and apologize for the horribly inept spectacle they put on national TV tonight.
      2) All 9er fans that bought a ticket for this game should have their money refunded by Jed York and the
      49er organization.
