Jefferson Airplane

Former Ravens’ safety

Tony Jefferson, who hasn’t played since he tore his ACL in 2019, is coming back and signing with the San Francisco 49ers, per source.

Played for Bettcher so he's his camp body. Doubt he makes the roster.

  1. Year of the 29ers:
What's common to Jefferson, Ward, Tartt, Verrett and Williams? They are all 29 years old! Big transition year for the secondary. DeMeco is going to lean on the three J's (Jimmie, Jason and Jaquiski) in helping get the young players up to speed.

I'm predicting that this is going to be the Season of Jimmie. He's going to double his career INTs to 4 -- to add to the 4 coaching staff and 4 fractures!

  2. Thanks, Razor. For what it's worth, Grant agrees with you, saying in an article today that Jefferson is there until Tartt recovers from his ailment of the month, turf toe, I think it is.

  3. Off-topic: Jack Hammer's article today about what the WR room will look like after final cuts: Deebo, AY, James, Hurd, Jennings and Benjamin.

  4. I have a slightly different take. I think if Jefferson shows anything he may take Harris' role. They've really loaded up the competition at the back and I think it is partly in recognition of injury issues historically, partly because the depth guys they've had made too many mental errors.

  5. With Tarvarious Moore lost for the season, I wonder if this is the opportunity for Sherman to come back to the Niners as a safety.

    1. OK, now I am really getting pis_ed off! Figure it out Kyle. It can't simply be bad lick at this stage. There is something you are doing with this team in June, that needs to change.

Like I've said a bunch of times ... You can't win games in June, but you sure as heck can lose them!

Figure it out Kyle! Figure it the F out!

    2. Unbelievable! It's like ground hog day, every season. Kyle says his team is not ready to go hard, yet that's obviously exactly what they are doing in June! Thank God most of our star players are already banged up and missing OTA's, or once again our season would be doomed before opening day even arrives!

I am sorry, but Kyle needs to make adjustments to what he's doing, and how he is making his guys practice in the spring and early summer, because this ain't working!

    3. Practice/Media day cancelled today. I guess it's a start... Can't even blame the turf at Santa Clara on this one.

I'm as perplexed as you are on what it is with our team!

    4. Once again, I am honestly beginning to think that Kyle is simply too stubborn, and thus unable to adjust his approach as a Head Coach!

Either that, our his insane, because we all know one of the signs of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, even if it's obviously not working.

Make a fricking adjustment, Kyle, or get out of the way!

    5. I just saw that Mugeek9er, thanks for the heads up. You're right .... I guess that's one way to help prevent these senseless off-season injuries!

If this isn't the wake up call he obviously needs, then he's never going to learn, IMO.

You can't win games in June, Kyle, so why are you pushing your players in 7 on 7's and 11 on 11's?

And FYI guys, I have no doubt from everything I know about the way Kyle runs his practices, from what I've seen and people I've talked to, he's pushing too hard, too soon!
