Gracen Halton was unstoppable yesterday • 31 snaps played • 5 tackles • 1 tackle for a loss • 3 pressures • 3 stops • 68.3 defensive grade The interior part of the defensive line desperately needed a player to step up this year, and Halton has done just that! Took D. J. Jones a year or two to catch on but it looks like Halton has a chance to be even better and it couldn't have come at a more critical time. You can tell his confidence level is growing with every game.

Halton has the makings of becoming a star. Let's not forget that Mykel may be ready in a few weeks as well. By. 5-7 games into the season the DL could be much better.

Ji' Brown played well yesterday. But, I wonder if he could be replaced by Single at some point this season. The real positive is how well the 49ers have set themselves up with interchangeable players that could help if a starter goes down.

ReplyDeleteIf the defense figures it out (run defense) this team would be one of the greatest modern era teams ever. The offense is already a top five unit, the defense also could be a top five unit - stop the run, please.

DeleteI don't know, I do know if they control the run and get off the field this team will be so dominate...be real hard to beat.
DeleteRight now, the strategy seems to be slow it down until the redzone and then clamp down.
DeleteWhat they did in the second half was much better than the performance of the first half, they couldn't get off the field.
DeleteWhite is the culprit in the 4i/5t spot against those inside runs, something Mykel excels at.
