Firepower

Feels like this is the week they call up Brandon Cooks and activate him from the practice squad. Captain Kirk will likely return to practice next week. He could put some pressure on Cowing's roster spot by providing more at the WR position while taking over PR duties.

  1. Brock Purdy is the NFC Offensive Player of the Month in September

Threw for 789 yards, 9 TDs and had a passer rating of 133.1 and led the 49ers to a 3-0 start in 2 different continents.

  2. Great. Now, the season gets real. Except for the Sleepless in Melbourne Rams win. The last two games were predictable. Let's keep it going on Sunday.

  3. I’d be very surprised if we don’t beat Denver. They do have a good defense but their offense is poor. It seems like they react well to mistakes made by their opponents but otherwise are mediocre on offense.

  4. I believe that the 49ers can beat Denver, but I also believe that they are better than Miami and Arizona. I expect a a close game on Sunday.

  5. The 49ers have elevated WR Brandin Cooks to the 53-man roster and signed WR Malik Turner to the practice squad to take his place.

    1. Keen to see how Cooks looks. Not the player he was, but I suspect he'll do well here.

  6. The Niners defense will dictate how this game goes. Even without Evans I have confidence that the offense will perform - after all the Niners have Brock Purdy.

  7. Heat could be a big issue this week. I wonder if a younger team will handle the heat better?

  8. Cooks must have looked good and just got a $1M bonus with the call up. I suspect they will rest Evans for Seattle. Purdy will likely have Deebo, Cowing, Watkins, and Cooks to throw to, while Turner takes over Hodge's special teams' role.

    1. Imo as long as they have CMC and Kittle on the field with Deebo and Cooks, the passing game will be pretty much unstopable.

  9. Nice game tonight. Just thinking back over the 2026 draft when I was touting Concepcion and some here like Boston. Dang, Cleveland got them both.

  10. Farmer- #50.... anyone have insights? He looked like the kind of big butt/big motor type guy the 49ers could really use inside....... only saw him for brief second out there on Sunday ( I didn't look at PFF or snap counts), as I was watching for Halton and Thompson Jr.

  11. San Francisco 49ers rookie defensive lineman Gracen Halton is already playing an underrated role. He's converted 92 snaps into nine tackles, four run stops, three quarterback pressures, and a pass breakup. Halton is disengaging around the line of scrimmage and showcasing terrific hustle and effort. He's going to be a really good player. Sport Illustrated.
