*2025 regular season, min 150 att

When people say Brock isn't elite this is the first thing I point to. Elite reactionary quickness is pressures kryptonite. Not straight-line speed but dodge ball quickness while keeping eyes downfield, reset your base and fire!

  2. Purdy's escape ability from the pocket when needed was a very nice surprise in his rookie season. Two years before he was drafted, I made a reference that the 49ers should take a look at him. But, I never envisioned him as the QB he is today. If the Oline can keep him clean this year a deep post season will be a lock.

I also like Demarcus Robinson as a top WR on the roster list. I really like his game.

  3. The 9ers O-Line is, IMO, the key to their success this season.
TW is TW, one of the best at both run and pass blocking.
McKivitz has improved his pass blocking. His Run Blocking has always been good.
Brendel is better at run blocking, but allows too many pass blocking hurries.
Puni: Looks to be healthy. Run blocking is top 10 for OG's. His pass
blocking is above average and still improving.
Left OG: TBD. Robert Jones is listed as starter, but could change?
Prior to injury, Run blocking Grade: 56.3, Pass blocking grade 54.3: An area needing consistency; he surrendered 5 sacks and 28 pressures in 17-starts in 2024.

  4. Re the guard positions, Jones is listed as LG starter and Colby as RG backup.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Carver had been cleared from concussion protocol and was a full participant in practice?

    2. It does look like the Jones/Colby competition is over, but Carver is switching positions and, obviously, has no NFL experience whatsoever. I would think that either he's cast a spell over Foerster or he is hoping Carver will be ready mid-year sometime.

    3. GEEP, he has been cleared and is pencilled in as Jones' first backup.

    4. At some point this season Carver is gonna take LG and not look back.

You could be right? His speed and agility skills gives him a chance. I question if he'll need a year in the gym to bulk up and add both strength and get NFL coaching? A big step up from UW to NFL...I do see him starting next season.

  5. Bosa dealing with tendinitis and soreness. I stand by my risk aversion plan by not putting him on that 15-hour flight. I don't think it's worth the inflammation or risk of clotting.

  6. Nick Martin just popped a Titan tight end—good open-field tackle.

Also, Jaden Duggar is getting reps with the 1’s.

  7. Fred Warner says he's never felt as confident about a 49ers secondary heading into a season as he has this one in his career.

  8. Sean McVay says Myles Garrett did not participate in joint practice with Cowboys today due to swelling in his knee. McVay says Garrett is 85% but the approach is to err on the side of caution with their new star player.

  9. Great to hear the 49ers offense continued to look great against the Titans. Big things coming this year if they stay mostly healthy.

  10. ARE YOU READY FOR SOME 9ER FOOTBALL?
The 9ers and Titans joint practice on Tuesday, became heated, with
4 separate fights within the first 10 minutes of team drills and multiple player ejections
Fights broke out almost immediately after the first play of 11-on-11 drills when cornerback Renardo Green tackled rookie receiver Carnell Tate hard near the sideline!

  11. Guess I was right about Bosa experiencing a little more than "general soreness"

  12. THE GOOD NEWS:
Here’s more about the pass rush from Jim Wyatt from Titans dot com:
"One issue that troubled Ward and the offense was the offensive line’s inability to protect at times. There were 49ers in the face of Titans QBs on several occasions in practice as the team worked through a number of different combinations, for one reason or another."
Upton Stout, Ji’Ayir Brown, and Jakob Robinson had interceptions. Renardo Green had a couple of pass breakups. One Titans reporter was recapping a play and said, “Green simply had Ayomanor blanketed and there was no chance at a completion.”

"A Hell Of A Day"

Nick Wagoner,  “This was a practice with QB Brock Purdy in total control. Not counting him spiking the ball once in two-minute, I had Purdy...
