  1. I knew they wouldn't take anything less than a 5th round pick for him. Also an indicator of their belief that TDP is trending in the right direction.

    1. I hate to lose him but it's a crowded room. Trouble is we have to play the Dolphins Dec 4th. Got a fifth not too shabby.

    2. “Jeff Wilson goes into a dark place before every single game… He wants pain. He deals pain… It’s awesome.”

  2. I believe CMC and Mitchel will be a real nice 1 - 2 punch. Also look at the 21 personnel possibilities.

  4. It's good business. You identify talent in an UDFA rookie. Coach him up, get decent production and flip him for a draft pick.

Rinse repeat. Sounds cruel, but NFL is a business and this is a savvy FO move.

Also implies Jordan Mason should be ready to see some snaps, in the eyes of Mr Turner.

    1. It's very good business given the strength of the 49ers 5th round hit ratio. That's their money round!

  5. Now just have to hope CMC and Mitchell stay relatively injury free from here.

    1. Mitchell will be the early back, and McCaffrey the money down back.

Just like they did before, if either goes down they'll bring Coleman up as the replacement.

    2. I think you are going to see Mitchel and McCaffey on the field simultaneously - lots. DC's are going to have great difficulties defending the Niners.

    3. Yea, Under it's a buffet of skill served up by some poke salad Shanny!

    4. Deebo, Aiyuk, Kittle, Juice, Mitchel, McCraffrey. Any cobination of those six will be awesome, if JG can play good football.

    5. I think the fact that they didn't make a move for a DT tells us that Armstead and Kinlaw have good prognoses.

    6. I think McCaffrey will see the field the majority of snaps and Mitchell will be the breather back, but as under says, probably both be on the field a handful of snaps a game too. Not sure it will be lots though. They have too many other good skill position players to be doing that. Juice at FB is still going to be the bread and butter 2nd RB on the field, while Deebo will also still get a few carries too.

It is going to be interesting to see how they implement CMC and Deebo. They provide lots of flexibility, but at the same time from an opponent personnel perspective the advantage you now gain will be more from teams using a LB to cover CMC in the passing game, not so much teams going light in nickel/ dime only to have Deebo line up as a RB.

  6. Mostert/Wilson vs Warner and the gang! KS vs McDaniel! This is gonna be fun at Levis.

  7. Releasing Spence is another positive regarding the health of Armstead and Kinlaw.

Krueger opined that if they didn't trade Wilson they would have had to cut Mason.

Interesting. Krueger opined on Grant that if they didn't trade Wilson they would have had to release Mason.

  9. Womack? - he appears to have fallen to the bottom of the DB totem pole........ anyone have any insight?

    1. Special teams demon. Recovered a fumble against the Chiefs and then showed off his hit-stick tackle against the Rams.

    2. My understanding is he dropped down the depth chart due to some issues with understanding his responsibilities - both in the run game and in coverage.

He's got the ability, he just needed some time to sit and learn. 2023 will be his year.

    3. Scooter, similar to Lenoir's rookie year.

    4. Seems that it's more like Lenoir improved and passed Womack for NB play.

I don't think I've ever seen a tackle like this, if you can call it a tackle. Truly impressive.

I remember his knock-down of that pass from Everett to Anderson. He came from nowhere.

  11. I want to see McCaffery and Mitchel run. I would like to see McCaffery and Deebo in the backfield at the same time. Would like to see Deebo in the backfield and McCaffery as a receiver. Mitchel in the backfield Deebo, Aiyuk, and McCaffery as receivers. DC's are going to have a nightmare on their hands, and they still have to account for Kittle.
