So moving out of the first round produced a third round pick, but they had to exchange one of their fourth rounders for a fifth.

Looks like Concepcion was one of the players they would have taken at 27.
ReplyDeleteMaybe. Hard to know. Only one we know for sure is Thieneman, as it was after he was taken that they looked to execute the trade.
DeleteCan intuit that Lawrence, Mesidor and/ or Concepcion could have been others, but unlikely we'll ever know.

ReplyDeleteConcepcion faced a murderer's row of competition with a QB actively sabotaging his draft value with every dropback, and his tape and production are still very good.
I imagine Lynch would have said pretty much the same thing of any player he was directly asked about, like he was Concepcion.
