  1. So moving out of the first round produced a third round pick, but they had to exchange one of their fourth rounders for a fifth.

    1. Adding a third isn’t crickets btw.

  2. I'm pretty shocked they were able to get what they did.

  3. 49ers converted $14.5M of Osa Odighizuwa's salary into signing bonus, creating $11.6M of cap space.

    1. Was wondering when that would happen. Felt like an obvious option.

    2. Who do you think they’ll use 33 on? I’ll guess they won’t trade it and will take Howell.

    3. My guess is Bisontis. Wouldn't want to take him round 1, but at 33 it starts making sense.

    4. Boston then Dunker if they stay put.

    5. I believe that Evans gives the 49ers a little cushion to get their WR in the 3rd rd. If Pearsall can stay upright, he Evans and Kirk give the 49ers breathing room at the WR corp.
I might be in the minority, but an immediate help to the 49ers would be EM. Warren. He is a D1S who could hold down the Safety position for years.

  4. Looks like Concepcion was one of the players they would have taken at 27.

    1. Maybe. Hard to know. Only one we know for sure is Thieneman, as it was after he was taken that they looked to execute the trade.

Can intuit that Lawrence, Mesidor and/ or Concepcion could have been others, but unlikely we'll ever know.

    Romello Height
    TJ Parker
    Derrick Moore

    Cashius Howell
    Zion Young.

  6. Chris Brazzell and Anthony Hill might slip to the 3rd round.

    1. Maybe Zion Young could slip to the 3rd rd as well. A 3rd rd pick for ZY wouldn't be as big a gamble, imo.

  7. Move back couple more spots and grab a guard, Pregnon or Bisontis.

    1. The 49ers have already received calls about a potential trade at the top of Round 2, per Schultz.

  8. We liked KC [Concepcion] a lot," John Lynch said. "Fun player to scout, fun player to be around."

Concepcion faced a murderer's row of competition with a QB actively sabotaging his draft value with every dropback, and his tape and production are still very good.

    1. I imagine Lynch would have said pretty much the same thing of any player he was directly asked about, like he was Concepcion.
