This chart represents the way cash rich teams can manipulate the cap.

  1. Virginia Tech’s RB Terion Stewart forced a missed tackle on 47%(!) of his career carries. Highest ever tracked for a RB, let alone one measuring 5’5 7/8” 219 lb.

    1. Advantage of his being a midget, so to speak?

    2. I'd imagine it's a contributing factor the way he's hidden behind those linemen.

    3. There's missing tackles, and there's not seeing the RB because of his small stature. But, it's the 200 lbs that is very interesting.

    4. Yea, he reminds me of MJD. Think he was 5'7 210.

  2. Razor,
Caught some of Terrion Stewart's highlights and your right. He looks like a Baby Beast breaking tackles and running over fuls, like my old neighborhood would say, lol.

    1. What would also be interesting is to see how much of that is money already spent, money fully guaranteed, money guaranteed for injury, and money with no guarantee.

  5. Will Kacmarek (6’6 261) Ohio State

+ One of the best blocking tight ends in this draft class
+ 88.2% completion rate when targeted in 2025
+ Physicality as a blocker and plays to the echo of the whistle
    + Finishing mentality
    + Competitive nature

+ 9.14 relative athletic size with a 36” vertical jump

    - Limited career receiving production
    - Not going to make guys miss after the catch
    - Didn’t have a lot of opportunities in contested catch situations or as a receiver down the field

  6. The 49ers met with Utah State DB Ike Larsen at his Pro Day, per JustinM.

  7. In NFL.com's Lance Zierlein's latest mock draft, he has San Francisco going back to a popular choice with the 27th overall pick: Texas A&M receiver K.C. Concepcion, the fifth wideout to go in his mocked class.

I've seen a few draftniks having the 49ers going KC. But, the player getting more hits to the 49ers is Lomu. It's April and Draftmas is in the air.

  10. Joe Anoa’i DT Georgia Tech
    + strength
    + first step
    + great tackle technique
I think he’s best used in an attacking front. Day one impact run defender.

  13. The cap has gone up a lot in the past few years and it will continue until it doesn’t. Some teams are likely to push the envelope too far with catastrophic consequences. I’m shocked to see where Philly has put themselves. Seems like a huge risk to me.

  15. Until Trent Signs I say we go after a new version of Art Shell and Gene Upshaw. First and second round.

    1. He didn't need high draft picks on the OL to be successful.

    2. If an OT is their highest rated guy at 27 they should take him. If he's not, they shouldn't.

Pretty simple this year - take highest rated guy at DE, OT or WR at 27, unless an unbelievable prospect at another position falls to them.

  17. Ant has a video today about finding a starting guard in the 4th round. Thinks it's possible.

    1. Agree with Ant and I've expected them to target an OT/OG hybrid in Round 4 all along.
