ReplyDeleteWhile 413 touches in 2025 is a concern, McCaffrey's 3.9 yards per rush number, the lowest since his 2020 season is a bigger concern.
ReplyDeleteA healthy O-line opening running lanes will increase his yards per rush, and WR's with speed that force the DB's from crowding the LOS, will also help. But either RB James or Black must help carry the offense,
give McCaffrey rest, and keep him healthy.
They have to get back to running the football.

DeleteWhile I agree that CMC could use some relief in games, I also believe that the head coach needs to have his best players on the field.
ReplyDeleteThere are many reasons to rest a player for a few plays. But, I believe that large blowout scores whether by the home team or visiting team is a good reason to sit your star players.
Keep him as fresh as possible.

DeleteI agree, but Shanahan needs to be selective. Selective in that the play on field dictates when to give CMC a breather.
