Razor,
ReplyDeleteThat would be a nice haul. Miller has the potential to be a D1S. I don't see the other players as starters, but I see them making contributions throughout the season. RB Singleton is a guy I've been a fan of for a while.
That being said, do you believe that the 49ers have cooled a little on Jordan James?
I have him taking Guerendo's duties as primary KR/3rd down back and James #2.
DeleteIt's looking more like Guerendo is the odd man out. But, in Singleton, I see somewhat of a one-cut similar style of RB as Guerendo. What I like about Singleton is his patience to find the hole and willingness to run over would be tacklers. He also has above average catching skills and can be a good blocking RB as seen in one highlight where he lays out Gabe Jacas with a vicious block.
ReplyDeleteMy one pause is that his stats regressed over the two years along with suffering minor injuries.
Nice! Could definitely see it going that way. Would like to see a DB and maybe a TE added as well, but only so many picks.
ReplyDeleteBarrows is hearing the 49ers are showing a lot of interest in RB Mike Washington. As I feared would be the case...
ReplyDeleteMan I hope another team takes him before the 49ers make that mistake.
I would take Singleton over Washington. Singleton runs angry.
ReplyDeleteTed Nguyen has Concepcion ranked ahead of Makai Lemon.
ReplyDeleteWhoooh! What happened there? I recently saw Lemon dropping to a late 1st pick after being in the 12-15 range about a month ago.

DeleteFlorida OT Austin Barber confirms he had a recent Zoom meeting with the 49ers.
ReplyDeleteWith all the known interest the 49ers are showing in mid round OL it baffles me why so many pundits still predict the 49ers will draft an OL at #27.
DeleteI mean, sure, it's possible if an amazing OL falls to them there and guys they like at all other positions are gone, but surely at this point the tea leaves are strongly pointing towards a different direction in round 1.
I mean they've done it every year. I can only attribute it to laziness or stubbornness.
DeleteTrue. Some years I think it's been fair to guess OL, as the team has given off signals it might. But so far this draft cycle all the indicators suggest they will be targeting OL later on.
DeleteWhich I guess could make for an excellent smoke screen 🤣 they did fool nearly everyone the year they took McGlinchey.
Didn't McGlinchey come into focus around the time Gruden and Lynch flipped the coin? I remember it was assumed that the winner of the coin toss would get him over Miller.
DeleteNo, most experts had them going anywhere but OT. James or Fitzpatrick were common names, but also Davenport or Edmunds.
DeleteThe coin flip was crucial for the 49ers because everyone knew the Raiders were going OT. But almost everyone thought McGlinchey would last to them. They were surprised on draft day, which led to them trading back after McGlinchey was taken.
I'll never forget the look on Gruden's face when he lost that coin toss.
