  1. Centers with 1500+ snaps as a pure center and 0 sacks attributed to them since 2015:

Ryan Kelly, Creed Humphrey, Bradley Bozeman, Jarrett Patterson and now Sam Hecht.

  2. Mike Evans' criteria for next team, per JFowlerESPN:

    • QB he believes in ✅
    • Chance at a Super Bowl✅
    • Top-shelf OC✅
    • Promise of high-volume touchesπŸ€”

    1. There is no way the 49ers can make that last promise

      Delete
    2. That is a ridiculous request on Evans part if it's true.

      Delete
    3. I wonder what is meant by high volume though? I imagine it's more a case of not wanting to go somewhere he will largely be an afterthought or decoy.

      Delete
    4. When you look at his targets over the years they've gone down precipitously.

      Delete
  3. Two awesome OL verts:

    Kadyn Proctor (352 lbs.)
    32.5" vertical

    Emmanuel Pregnon (315 lbs.)
    35" vertical

  4. How the 10-yard split for Monroe Freeling (1.71) and Spencer Fano (1.72) compare to the 3 OTs who went top-10 last year:

    Will Campbell (1.75)
    Armand Membou (1.74)
    Kelvin Banks Jr. (1.78)

    1. Max Iheanachor also did well - 1.73

      Delete
    2. He might be the last OT available at 27 worth rolling the dice on.

      Delete
    3. Can probably play OG to start his career too.

      Delete
    4. Yea, that's what I was envisioning at the Senior Bowl. Have him start next to Trent for 2 years and then slide him over.🀞

  5. A lot of the rumours that have come out of the combine make me think I'm not going to be a huge fan of this 49ers offseason 🀣

  6. OL in Group 1 that were requested to take snaps at center after the workout:

    • Joshua Braun – Kentucky
    • Fernando Carmona – Arkansas
    • Spencer Fano – Utah
    • Evan Beerntsen – Northwestern

  7. Gennings Dunker with the 4.63 in the 20 yard Shuttle.

    ReplyDelete
  8. If as an offensive lineman weighing 320 lbs. runs a 4.9 40 he's probably not going to get hurt. Shows your flexibility, hip fluidity and body control by sustaining that top speed. So, it's more of a health meter than what most associate with speed or explosion.

  9. OT pressure rate allowed removing screens, throws under 2.0 seconds, DL stunts. Filtering for "normal" pass pro snaps:

    2. Spencer Fano 1.7%
    3. Max Iheanachor 2.0%
    5. Caleb Lomu 2.3%
    10. Monroe Freeling 2.6%
    24. Blake Miller 4.0%
    30. Francis Mauigoa 4.3%
    37. Kadyn Proctor 4.7%

    ReplyDelete
  10. No OL hit the 4.47 threshold for the second straight NFL Combine 20-yard shuttle and only 12 of 57 participated. Rutledge 4.54/Jones 4.59/Dunker 4.63.

    Conner Colby 4.63

    1. Any thoughts on Georgia OG Micah Morris?

    2. Scored a 9.98 RAS:

      6-5 1/4, 334
      10-yard split: 1.73
      Broad 9-4
      40 5.09

50+ games, 5 starts at RG, 13 at LG

      🐢 BARREL chested/thick lower-body
      🐢 Heavy handed bar bouncer

  11. OL Broad Jump

    Gennings Dunker - 9’0”
    Spencer Fano - 9’3”
    Monroe Freeling - 9’7”
    Max Iheanachor - 9’7”
    Austin Barber - 9’3”
    Chase Bisontis - 8’9”
    Jude Bowry - 9’7”
    Parker Brailsford - 9’10”

Per Mockdraftable, Brailsford’s 9’10” broad jump is the best mark among centers since 1999. He's a legitimate target for San Francisco. Round 3 is where I'm guessing.

  12. OL in Group 2 that were requested to take snaps at center after the workout:

    • Olaivavega Ioane - Penn State
    • Carver Willis - Washington
    • Brian Parker II - Duke
    • Beau Stephens - Iowa
    • Trey Zuhn III - Texas A&M
    • Febechi Nwaiwu - Oklahoma
    • Keylan Rutledge - Georgia Tech
    • Jeremiah Wright - Auburn
    • Billy Schrauth - Notre Dame

  13. Heard from a scout just now who said he didn’t know what Makai Lemon’s motive was behind his combine interviews but whoever advised the kid needs to be fired. “Absolutely bombed it” word for word.

  14. Official OL 40s (Group 1):

4.91 - Spencer Fano, Max Iheanachor
4.93 - Jalen Farmer, Monroe Freeling
4.94 - Jager Burton, Enrique Cruz
    4.95 - Parker Brailsford
    5.01 - DJ Campbell
    5.02 - Chase Bisontis

    1. Mike Washington Jr., Arkansas RB (10.00)
    2. Sonny Styles, Ohio State LB (9.99)
    3. Monroe Freeling, Georgia OT (9.99)
    4. Taylen Green, Arkansas QB (9.99)
    5. Jeff Caldwell, Cincinnati WR (9.99)

  16. Do you think the 49ers would consider Feeling if he makes it to #27? He can be a foundational player for years, imho.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Absolutely, but he'll be gone by #18 at the latest.

      Delete
    2. I would love Freeling.... he can start out as LG and then man the LT position. Doubt he gets past 20 though.

  17. Michigan WR Donaven McCulley leads the NFL Draft class in uncatchable targets at 32.1% (WOOF)

    HT: 6'4.5"
    WT: 203
    Arm: 32 5/8"
    Hand: 10 1/4

Went to Indiana as a QB, three years as a WR before transfer to Michigan.

Omar Cooper Jr. and Makai Lemon both project as 'Tier 1' blue chip level prospects.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I’m told WR Makai Lemon stood up mid-interview and pissed on a Jets team executive.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Circling the wagons on the Makai Lemon combine interviews, I can confirm that 4 teams have taken Lemon off their board due to his interview with the team. Those teams were not disclosed, but you can bet the Jets are one of them.πŸ”«

    2. Um, wtf? Does he already have CTE? Hope the 49ers take him out of any consideration.

      Delete
    3. I also assume it's an exaggeration of what actually happened.

    4. Wow, stay away from that psycho. Too bad it's not on tape. Would put money on it being the most viral video ever seen, more than Kim's.

  19. This poor kid is not doing himself any favors. Makes me wonder what shenanigans he and his agent will create when he's up for his first vet contract.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I just do not get the love Proctor gets?
To me, yes hes very athletic for his size but with those traits I'd expect him to be more dominant than he is at the colligate level. Yes, he could get better with more experience and NFL coaching but his athletic advantage will be no where near what it was in college.
I just dont see it with him. What am I missing?

    1. Baldinger has him as his top OT. Reminds me of Amarius Mims.

  21. So the free agency legal tampering period is a week away. Any predictions on who the 49ers will sign. Not who would you like them to sign but who you think they will sign. I say one of either OG Alijah Vera-Tucker or Zion Johnson. One of either Wandale Robinson or Romeo Doubs. Isaiah Likely, Sheldon Rankins and Eric Kendricks. 3 off that list. Along with a couple C level special teamer/back ups

I'd hope JL is working on a F/A OT if the TW negotiations go south. OT Rasheed Walker: He's expensive, Spotract Market Value: ~$ 81to $82 Mil on a 4 year contract.
A cheaper option that fits 9ers ZBS: F/A OT Braxton Jones: Spotrac Market Value is project for a 2 year ~$ 10 Mil contract. A 26-year-old left tackle who has shown high-level capability in both pass and run blocking, making him a strong starting candidate, but missed most of 2025 with a knee injury, Potentially making him a "buy-low" candidate with high upside.
OT Alijah Vera-Tucker, considered a "dream" fit for Shanahan's ZBS system due to his lateral agility and versatility. He can play tackle or guard, providing elite insurance if Williams leaves. Spotrac Market Value: A 4 year, $51.3 million contract, averaging roughly $12.8 AAV Mil per year. But he also comes with concerns over his injury history, but he may take a 1 year prove-it-deal?

  22. My one nightmare free agent signing. JJ to the Seahawks

  23. Chiefs are releasing former starting OT Jawaan Taylor, creating some much-needed cap space, source says. Due a $27.4M cap hit, Taylor’s absence creates breathing room.

    ReplyDelete
  24. The 49ers are eyeing assistant OL coach Cameron Clemmons to replace Brian Fleury as the team’s TE coach, per Barrows.

  25. A post combine change to my mock 2026 draft:
Stanford TE Sam Roush in Rd #4....Excellent fit for 9ers ZBS, has size
(6'6" X 267), ability to execute cut-off blocks in zone and combo blocks in gap schemes. His 87 athleticism score ranked third among all TE's at the Combine, and his 91.7 SPORQ percentile clears the critical 90th-percentile threshold that separates future contributors from roster fillers at the position.

    1. Good looking out, GEEP.
He's been a little under the radar. He could be a nice piece for the 49ers offense. I do like Tonges and see him getting more play with Kittle missing time next season. But, I wouldn't be mad if the 49ers take Sadiq at 27 if he falls on their lap.

      Delete
    2. AES
      * Love to have him as a 9er, but I'd be shocked if Sadiq is still on the draft board at pick #27 and I don't see the 9ers trade up for him....
      * Yea, I'd keep TE Tonges and cut TE Luke Farrell with a post June 1st designation. he's a ben big disappointment!

      Delete
    3. In the 10 years that KS and JL have been in charge, we have never had a Tight End who was 6'3. So I have a hard time believing that Sadiq will be the pick for us.

Also agree on Luke Farrell....disappointing. We will get a FA TE is my gut feeling. Maybe Isaiah Likely or David Njoku.

      Vernon Davis was 6'3 1/4" X 254

      Delete
    5. Shanahan would never have drafted Vernon Davis that high.

      Delete
    6. It would have been much to his dismay. Vernon Davis was an impact player.

      Delete
    7. Impact player after Singletary got in his ass but not after the Kam Chancellor hit. Kittle is a future Hall of Famer. Davis? Not so much.

      Delete
    8. I love Kittle. But you can't dismiss the fact that Davis had a record 13 TDs in a season to Kittle's 11. It might be a good move not allow a dislike for a player obscure their stats. Btw, I'm not sure how many of today's players would leave the field in a respectful manner the way Davis did when a coach tells them to leave the field.

      Delete
    9. Not dismissing anything but I'll never dismiss facts. Davis isn't a HOF'er and he always gets talked about like he is.

      Delete
    10. It doesn't matter if he's a HOF to me. I remember Davis being Alex Smith' favorite target. And helping the 49ers regain some respect around the league. You bring up the hit he took from Chancellor, I remember him making a game winning TD in the playoffs against New Orleans. That's the memory, I remember.

      Delete
    11. I'm happy that Vernon Davis played for the 49ers. I would venture that Alex Smith was happy as well.
      It's all good.

      Delete
    12. I'll be happy as I was back in '89 if Shanahan wins a SB and he's presenting the HOF award to Kittle and Warner one day.

      Delete
    13. I'll be happy as well. 30 yrs is too long to wait for a SB win. I'll also be happy to see Kittle and Warner receive HOF recognition. Hopefully, Trent receives his from Shanahan as well.

      Delete
    14. Likely given Trent has a spare bedroom at Mike's house.

      Delete
    15. Mike? I think I'm missing something here.

      Delete
    16. Mike Shanahan. The dude that drafted Williams. I think Foerster was his OL coach too. Kyle was on staff too wasn't he? Yea, Trent is part of the fam.

      Delete
    17. Haha! You're right, Mike Shanahan. That one slipped my old mind. Agree, keep it in the family.

      Delete
  26. The 49ers have scheduled an in-person meeting with Memphis OT Travis Burke before or after his March 19th Pro Day.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Kalia Davis not to be tendered as RFA. He will be an Unrestricted Free Agent.

    First round pick DT?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Dolphins released OL Liam Eichenberg, a former second-round pick who started 52 games.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Mike Evans has had 10 seasons, hitting 1K receiving yards, and would need ANOTHER 10 seasons and another 9,843 yards to reach Jerry Rice’s record.
