• Kyle feels good about where the roster is. Says it’s definitely been a better offseason compared to last year

• He isn’t a fan of the 49ers playing in Australia • They are in no rush to release Brandon Aiyuk. Holding out hope to get something for him in a trade • He gave Brock Purdy a five-item to-do list for the offseason and training camp— involving film review • He is very high on Renardo Green • He said Isaac Guerendo wasn’t their second best runner last year • He missed Dre Greenlaw and hated being away from him for a season • Christian had an unbelievable year, but he definitely needs help. Will look to get other running backs more involved next season • Happy that the electrical substation injury theory is over with • They tried to trade for new CB Nate Hobbs when he was with the Raider and they love his versatility • Compares bringing in Matt Eberflus to assist Raheem Morris to last year’s hiring of Gus Bradley to assist Robert Saleh.  • Talks with Trent Williams camp have “intensified” over the past week

• He doesn’t believe the 49ers can afford free agent Joey Bosa • He is humbled that Mike Evans chose to sign with the 49ers for less money • George Kittle is progressing well and they are “hopeful” that he will be available for Week 1 • Despite adding Robert Jones, the LG spot is up for grabs and they’ll look at the draft for a possible guard as well • They hired an independent scientist to look into the electrical substation and he said it’s a big “nothing burger” • They added three more physical therapists to their training staff and are spending $9M to improve rehab and recovery facilities, particularly in hydro areas • Renardo Green trade rumors are false and trade talks with other teams never occurred • Nick Bosa (torn ACL) and Mykel Williams (ACL) are expected back for training camp at some capacity • Nick Martin was fully cleared from the concussion protocol right after the season

The 49ers are opting NOT to exercise the $10 million option bonus in Trent Williams’ contract, per Schefter. Williams’ salary cap number now will grow to close to $47 million, but the team is not overly concerned about it, and it still is planning to rework his contract before next month’s NFL Draft.
